Help!! my bike keep jerking and pull back when go up to gear 3

hi all.. my bike on gear 1 to 2 still ok quite normal.. the problem start when it's on gear 3 to 4, it will tend to pull back abit and kept jerking.. any1 can tell me wat happen to my bike? my bike model is x1r thanks in advance..

can you explain..pull back? unable to carry on pick up speed??

 

if bike gear1 and 2 is ok..gear 3 got problems..

-there are many causes..the sparking may be an issue...rev up high rpm say at neutral or gear1 and 2..any issue?

if this so check your ignition system..

-the carb is out of tune cannot suply the correct mixture at higher speed or load..

clean carb and/or replace jets..

 

of course there is a possibility the gear is abit damage..

 

if you have not clean/change your air filters for the past 10k km..time to do it..

 

fuel could be a reason..contaminated fuel..check the petrol for contaminations ..usually water, settlements and rust.

Check the fuel system that is the carb, dirt or so on...

Check the ignition, usually the spark ignition coil symptom. wana die but dont wana die or simply bad plugs

Check transmission, gears or friction plates.

If cant do it well tow it to a trusted shop.

How long have you had your X1R? If its not the issues mentioned above then it might be gearbox issue. Any funny sounds from below?

Imo if it's jerky, check the rpm range you are on at that speed and gear, might be that your bike is out of tune or carb is clogged, also, check your fuel pipelines for depositions or can be described as fuel 'grain' which is developed from long term of non usage, clear your air filter as the air intake may be hindered leading to a poor mixture. Lastly if your bike just went under rain or was just washed it is common for it to bog and not pick up speed until your bike system is dry
