Hi all, I just found a new job which requires me to travel overseas and the office is located in the heart of city hall. After doing some maths, it is totally not feasible to ride during weekdays. I will still want to keep my bike for my weekend or night usage.

 

I intend to start my bike every 3 days and leave it warm up for 3-5 minutes. I wonder if this is sufficient?

 

Can anyone advice any good ways to keep my bike "alive" with little activities?

i am working at high street centre. supper near adelphi. which route are you taking? where do you park your bike? seasonal parking in town?

i'm taking the upper thomson route

 

in summary:

 

1. From woodlands, go SLE. exit at upper thomson exit (turn right)

2. Go straight all the way until you reach the East-West MRT line. Turn left

3. Go straight and turn left to Alexandra Road.

4. Go straight and reach your one and only ERP gantry. (you will be at Chinatown/Havelock road (Ministry of Manpower)

 

From there, i suppose you know how to go to ur workplace

 

The best parking place is at Adelphi B3. FREE~ Else, Funan is $1 or $1.07.

 

i don't think high street centre has motorcycle parking.

 

the route that i've explained is very brief. If you have a map and still don't understand, feel free to ask me.

 

if not, i'll usually be leaving at 7.40am and reach my office between 8.28am to 8.31am

Sleepyzzz I scared the batt will loses it charge as it is a dry batt. zzz think uses it for another 4-5 months before i switch to water batt. my dad is using his for nearly 3 years and going STRONG.

Wat's the main diff betwn dry and wet batts? Why do pple prefer dry to wet batts usually?

to my knowledge dry batt life span is like only 1 year but wet batt can last 2-3 years. wet batt need special attention like checking and topping up the batt water every 1-3 months while dry batt is hassle free.

 

Base my bike manual, bike needs to operate above the idling points for 15 minutes at least once a month. If more than a month, we need to dismount the wiring from the batt.

 

Eh can anyone correct me on my understanding?

meet at Wood Grove? there is a pub there. price of beer is flat without service charge.

 

Have being riding there for 1-2 mug a week.
