another run-in questions... diff ppl believes in diff things... no one can say which is the best or you must follow...there are ppl out there who dun run-in and bike still running after years.. there are also ppl who run-in religiously and bike always breakdown... follow the mech way lor... run in at 80.. but do vary the speed and thru all the gears... i also dunno much... newbie here...

newbie???? u joined quite long ago and u're a newbie?looking down on urself izzit?

anyway my friend, my view...when im in running mode..i ride 100km/hr for 800km..after that i changed my constant speed to 110km/h for about one week..after that i changed my constant speed to 120km/h to let the piston get used to high speed after about 2-3 weeks for going at 100km/hr

after about 1 week in 120km/hr, den u can whack ur bike already....gd luck bro..just my 2cents opinion!

i think it's best to vary the speed/gears when running and use engine brake...

At the end of the day, its up to the dividual

For me, I stop riding at 80km/hr at 800km and I tried not more than 120km/hr for the next 800km and in fact I had a few chances hit way more than 140km/hr, will stop running in at 2400km.

Heard from friends saying, cus 5 of my friends and me bought our new bikes within a few weeks of each other. They went to some well known bikeshops in Singapore to either check prices or buy accessories for their bikes, and they were told not to ride in but the break in the hard way by the salesman and mechanics, which means just wack but remember to change engine oil between regular intervals. What they say was like, reduce of performance if you ride in the 80km/hr way something like that. Since then, none of my friends run-in.

For my opinion, seriously lah, who can take it riding at 80km/hr for those miserable 2400km or even more. Take Class 2, 80km/km will kill you lor. Seriously just take a look at overseas like Japan, USA, England and etc. Point A to Point B covers so huge distance, do you think they ride-in at 80km/hr?

I think the first 800km very important and the engine oil changes at regular intervals and I believe regular engine oil will lead to a healthy engine than riding-in for so long at 80km and did not change ur oil regularly. I did almost every month oil change on my XR4 with Semi and I never encounter any problems with the engine or change anything regarding wear and tear for full 2 years. Even though, I went to malaysia and did countless of trails on it and practically use it everyday. I think for RXZ changing oil is relatively cheaper than my XR, so do change often and dont delay, so dont worry about running-in.

does it consume less fuel when it run in finish? i notice my sp full tank only 160km running in at the moment. so great diff from 240km, my sp no mod all stock. just went overhaul.

I dont think so

When I just started running-in at 80km/hr, my FC was like 16km per litre, after 1700km on the meter, my FC drop to about 14km per litre on my CBR. My bet, is due to the higher speed and rev
