haha i remember my 2B time. the bike really crap lor so easy to stall, now i taking 2A the bike so shiok only 3k mileage then look at those 2B learners feel so sad for them haha

yo guys, lesson 4 tough or not? instructor recommend us to go circuit revision before booking lesson 4.

lesson 4 is assessment. u will go thr the circuit test route, if u are confident then just go for it. if u are not then go for CR first. since CR is no longer 50% the price i suggest u just got for lesson 4 dont waste the money just try to pass.

should be 4th floor.

4th floor must take lift as escalator only serve level 1,3 and 5.

can also just ask the counter at the 1st or 3nd floor.

hi hi... I'm newbie here. Thinking of starting 2B lessons in March too. Should be going to SSDC although CDC could be closer because SSDC mostly sheltered (correct me if I'm wrong). Plus longer lesson duration, lesser lesson... i calculated the cost based on the fee on CDC & SSDC website, seems SSDC could be cheaper...

 

actually i have my class 3 already, and i used to drive. but sold my car when i changed job a few years ago... dunno whether it helps for 2B

Don't have a car but I doubt so cause handling a bike is very diff from a car. Have a friend who got class 3 licence went to take 2B ended up repeating quite a few of the practicals because he couldn't handle well, he did well for the road practs though, thanks to his driving experience. I still believe in talent haha, some people can just breeze through many of the practs without any driving experiences.

Class 3 will give you a lot of confidence for the road lessons, you are just used to being in traffic, intersections, traffic lights, traffic signs, etc.

 

But it obviously won't make you any better at doing the figure 8.

anyway, need tips on narrow plank, slope and pylon slalom hehehe anyone?

Narrow plank: Fix eye on high point, for level 5, i stared at the fence all the way till the end, can try the pylon cones as well. Rmb to hug the tank.

 

Slope: Just think it as you moving off with more throttle and a compulsary foot brake.

 

Pylon: Not sure how to advice this, an instructor actually let me pillion him through this then i finally did it properly haha.

i have cl3 when i took 2b in 2010.

circuit lessons i do multiple times,

L1 x 3

L2 x 5

L3 part 1 x 1

L3 part 2 x 2

L4(assessment) x 3.

road lessons 5-7 x 1 each.

I agree it really helps for road lesson if u have cl3.

for circuit wise, needs better skills and talents.

e brake gear 1 and 2 more throttle, gear 3 maintain speed 30-35. try not look down or stop too early.

 

crank course... i myself very weak on this.

 

the best is ask instructors on duty. they will guide u best.

e brake as stated from bro above and adding 1 more point, keep squeezing the brake till you can't pull in anymore but at a controlled pace as your bike slows down, don't just hold the brake there. I always practice this before i move off to get the feel of it.

 

Crank very tricky, personally I think it's the hardest of all, for me, eyepoint; 1st look to the left, at the outer curb of the 1st crank, then once you do the left turn into the course, switch to the outer curb of the crank at the far end, so you can make your right turn smoothly.

didnt make it thru my prac3 last tuesday. instuctor told me that i didnt accelerate much in the figure 8 and crank course...sighh..going on monday again.hopefully could make it thru :/
