nope.. cannot be. i already try warm it a long time. still the same.. thx btw

cold start doesn't mean starting up n let it idle for a while. sometimes due to temperature, bubbles form in the carb n tube. that's why u can ride a short distance before it dies off. happens to my bike a lot, that's why i avoid putting my bike under the hot sun or ride in the wee hours when it's cold.

if u've ride a few km before it dies off then it's not cold start. it could be ur carburator.

filter/tap could be the problem too.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Firstly, don't think there is anything legal or not if your bike stalls...

Secondly, there can be a thousand and one reasons why the engine stalls while riding. E.g. clogged carb, clogged fuel vent, loose sparkplug cap, loose electrical connection somewhere, half-dead alternator coil, half-dead CDI, etc etc.

Bring the bike to a competent mech to troubleshoot.

By the way, changing engine oil and filter will not solve stalling issues.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

How much is changing 1 carburator cost? less than 100?

I just sent in my bike to Planet Motors on Thursday morning with a similar issue. However I was able to "limp" to the workshop early in the morning because the bike does function correctly at idle and at wide open throttle, cuts out if mid-level throttle is applied above 60kph. (LOL!)

The spark plug was fouled and problem solved pretty quick. Why not call Planet Motors tomorrow for a diagnosis? Ah Chong is very good at this type of common problem and he is an ace repairing small Japanese bikes at minimal expense.

Just change my spark plug. but still the same.. change CDI unit.. Better but sometime the problem still come around. Then The mech say to change my ignition coil... But must i? i expensive.. lol

Ignition coil or magnetic coil?? Ignition coil very hard to spoil.. Have you tried the fuel filter?
