Sorry for digging up an old thread, but just to add for people searching for info in future.

 

Went to Seng Kwang on 15.10.2011 to make top box rack for class 2 and was charged $280.

 

Apparently they only accept a few bikes each day, unless you can leave it there for more than a day. If other bikes come he will reject and ask them to come another day. Opens slightly earlier than 10am.

 

Overall, very satisfied as the materials down to the bolts and nuts used were stainless steel and I felt it was a great job. The boss was also friendly and explained to me that he had also secured my side panniers to lessen the vibrations.

 

Lifetime warranty, if any cracks or any problems just go back. As someone had said earlier in this forum, going to Seng Kwang will result in a thinner wallet, but a great sense of satisfaction.

 

He also said that the side panniers were mounted by First Motor, another bike shop that does these kind of customised mountings. Perhaps someone who has dealt with them can comment?

Got Ah An to customise my side rack using Givi universal. Other shops might just use the brackets and tie all over with screws and nuts. But Ah An took his time to weld some brackets specially to fit my bike. The weld work is awesome. Definitely one of the neater work I have seen.
