Hi Bros, is there any reliable and professional mechanic (and reasonably priced) at the Bukit Merah Lane / Alexandra Village area?

 

The Bb has been plagued with a bit of oil leak drip lately...any ideas?

Vince, can u actually pinpoint where the leaks coming from? Planet and alai is the best to rectify ur problem

Thanks, Bro. Planet and Alai both around Ubi right?. My current mechanic in Defu. If there's one at Bt Merah Lane / Alexandra, that is the best. If not then I might try Ubi later on.

 

At first it looks like at the top and flowing down the manifold. There is a bit of petrol smell too other than minor oil leak. I got the the engine gasket and oil seals changed. Still leak. I don't know if drain plug may also need some rectification but I already tightened it. Would it help to add some kind of washer to tighten any gaps?

 

Anyway, will trace the leak again. Thanks.

Thanks. Sorry, I didn't get to take photos. Took out one side fairing panel and found another leak on the lower part of the engine, need to change that gasket too. I should get the bird back today...not sure how many years ago when all the gaskets were last changed. I suppose its wear and tear.

Gasket changed and crank sensor cable changed because its attached seal was hardened and caused this other leak...
