Yesterday saw a black blackbird at ECP just after leaving airport around 5.45pm.....with bright WHITE ON signal lights (but folded..hehe)....suddenly missed my blackbird days.

I used to put Germany-made BMW tourer grips. It costs about $30 a pair from PML.

 

To add...

 

If you have good sports grips for sporty rides you may not want to change, just put "slip-on" grip sponge like Grip Buddies, Grip Puppies, Grab On Grips...or Ariete (from Lim Ah Boy).

 

For even more economical, wrap "Leather-like Multi Sheet" from Daiso ($2) using thin heat resistance mounting tape to fasten. One roll is good to cut into for 4 to 6 grips depending on width required.

 

This is IMHO, I am sure bros here have got much better ideas.

Hi Guys, I'm thinking of getting a BB just for the kick. I saw one that was on sale in Carousell, fitted with VFR800 handle bars, Bubble Windshield. It looks intimidating. I use this BB in Singapore for commute. A few things I want to ask brothers here.

 

What would be a good price for this bike? How much should I offer?

Whats the maintenance regime? and Fuel Consumption?

Heat in expressway riding 80-90km/hr?

Spare parts available? This is a 2004 model not affected by the NEA ban.

 

Appreciate bros' help to make a decision....

 

Just to add, I'm coming from a Vstrom 650 background. Been riding the Vstrom for 10 years, apart from the stator issues, fried twice and the starter motor jammed once, otherwise, its a very reliable bike.
