- NCB

hi pple... dunno its i sway or wat... wed evening i went to take my bike back, ECM prob solved, but den thurs i rode long distance den found dat e alignment is out... symptom is like when going at 70km/h, bike sway to left gently, n when going above 90km/h, handle bar vibrate(jittering)... wat happen... wat hv i done wrong... why so sway one... actually i tot mayb kick e tyre back to right den mayb no prob liaoz, so last evening i went to bike shop n tell dem e symptom, n dey really kick back for me only... den on e way home, e feeling is really different... can feel dat it did got better, so i try out freehand again n found dat it stil sway to left gently n vibrate leh... i'm really sick n paiseh to go back bike shop again... but on e other hand i cant possibly do it on my own as its less than 2weeks since i got e bike leh... wah lao eh, i really dunno wat to do now... i cant possibly go bike shop everyday de rite...

 

have alot of queries in mind:

1. can e alignment prob b solved permanently if e bike had accident b4 n damaged its main frame?

2. wat is e probable cause for e swaying n jittering probs?

3. how to tell e bike shop if its e steering cone got probs, cos i really very paiseh liaoz...

4. now e bike got so much probs, can i push in n change a new one(1st hand) out instead?

5. do i need to bear any lost if i change to 1st hand? cos i'm really tired of going dere(bike shop) liaoz...

 

e cosmetic of e bike is only 6/10 i wld say, but cosmetic is still acceptable, n mayb can b done on my own... but wat i feel dat e bike shop shld warranty me is e other stuffs... electronic, electrical, engine n alignment... dese r e most costly ones... manager claims dat e price cant go lower cos bike needs to repair, change dis change dat, but in e end dey actually din do anything leh... chain n sprocket also nv change... so guess dat one going to due soon also... really dunno wat to do... BlackBird is my dream bike, dats y i cant accept it in such condition... but wat can i do...

If you are considering a change of mechanic, maybe you would like to drop by RaceWerks (Blk 1005, Bukit Merah Lane 2). I believe the previous owner went there to service the bike, so the mechanic there (Norman or William) may be familiar with its problems. I go there for my servicing also ...

mayb after i settle e problems first lor... its still under warranty now... how much to change a steerin cone for BB?

dude relax... go back to the bike shop... state all the problem to them... make sure they check all parts carefully... steering cone... ask them take out the whole front wheel... then turn ur handle left to right...

check ur front tyre.... see if its warped....a warped tyre will contribute to the shakeness...tyre pressure ...

 

i suspect its front tyre wrap... wat tyre u using?

when i first going to take e bike, bike shop say not ready, den i see e front tyre going botak, so ask dem change, den mechanic say he look for an used one but not dat wear off one for me, not sure if its warped... how do i noe if it is warped? but e alignment still out in e sense dat it sways to e left correct?

slide ur finger from left to right across the tyre.. see if u can feel any "humps" or uneveness on the tyre...

as for bike moving to left... might be due to ur sitting posture... adjust urself b4 u try again...

just now went to felt e tyre, seems ok leh... den my sitting posture i tried to adjust to sit in e center liaoz but no matter how i sit, e bike still sway to left... even when i sit abit to e rite it'l stil go left, but not as fast as when sittin normal...

fq plate BB worth 7.2k? saw one today... then insurance for 24 yr old ntuc tpft.. is $1041.... then another one is fr.plate 10.5k with yoshi full sys... then then fu.plate 11.5k only tank bra.

 

so which one more worth it ??

U push back get new one.... hmmmmm this bike under ur loan... they will consider u sell them back.. which will be at a lower cost.. then come out new one is another cost.... EST 24K at least cos of ur age and riding experience. U can try asking Mr Lee see how things can work out. If they can let u push in take out new one without the abovementioned situation.. i think its feasable.

choose the ones with the best engine condition. the exterior can do up, but engine will cost you a fortune. remember when you buy the bike, more than half of what ur paying for goes to the engine, suspension, rims, radiator, frame etc etc.

dun "gain gain" the yoshi full system la. $1800 only, compared to the price of the bike. but then again if the engine and conditon is good, of cos take it!

The yoshi is there to lure the bait only. be very weary. happy searching!
