at the road show it was 6.5k otr without insurance,take that price as a guide line lower better, higher means u have to ask around more......at roadshow they gave away a rear box too...but i dont think any one of us have actually got it, still iou:sian:

was going at 50-80 km/h, only about 10% expressway, trottling up gradually, coming to a rolling stop at red lights, and rolling down hill with trottle close,

 

quite difficult to maintain at those speed keep checking mirrors making sure i dont road hog.

30km/ltr is actually quite normal

my VXR is fetching that mileage too

highest ever was abt 33km/ltr

depends on tuning, the rite kinda petrol, condition of bike & of coz not forgetting riding style

Today was the saddest day of the week. Send my bike for washing at the old toh tuck rd. but after washing, the bike cant start. I try to crank and crank but cant start at all. Ask the washer to blow dry at the sparkplug area. after it as done, still cannot start. Bopian, called piaggio and they said they will send the tow truck to bring back my bike. The bike is only 6 days old and this problem come. To add matter worse, I suppose to send my gf to work today, when she received the bad news, she get pissed at me and scolded me. I mean, it wasnt my fault that the bike wont start. So we end up arguing cos i already so sad that my new bike wont start, instead of making me feel better, she push the blame to me and get angry at me for not being able to send her to work. I'm so fed up till no words can describe...

i just got my black vxr 200 today guys.. a terrible thing start to happen when i am goin home from the bike shop.. after topping up fuel [v-power] full tank at shell paya lebar [cisco].. i went home.. along the way on PIE near adam rd exit my 1st hr VXR kept stalling every 700m.. and i have to stop at the road shoulder.. i was travelling about 70km/h when reaching 700m i opened throttle and there was no response from the bike.. WTF.. i have to crank the bike 3-4 times for it to start.. when it can start again i can only travel less than 1km and the same problem comes in.. no response.. seems like the bike ran out of fuel.. fuel line not smooth maybe.. anyone of u all encounter this problem?? pls enlighten..

So nsr182, did u called up piaggio for this problem. i think ur prob might be similar to mine. i have a feeling the fuel line might be the cause of it. I will be calling piaggio tomoro and see whether did they rectify the prob or not. quite sad that this thing happen to a new bike. the suck thing is, i need to take public when goin to work tomoro. Public transport really sucks when comes to morning. so darn slow!

i will be calling piaggio too tom.. but will call my bike shop 1st.. goin for running in later too ard 2300hrs.. see wheter the problem disappear already or not hehehe.. where is this genting lane.. the piaggio place.. i werking nite shift tom.. maybe can go in the morning.. if my bike ok.. swann isit possible got water leak into the fuel line or something.. cos i remeber i pour water on the fuel cap after pumping petrol earlier..

i'm not sure but i only pour water at the fuel cap only...

i'm new to this vxr.. where is the air box? can change to k&n air filter?

anyone has the schematics to the new runner..

and also anyone find out where to get the english owners manual?

Well, i did inquire about the stone grey color.... they quoted me the same price as red & black. Unless you're talking about racing graphics..... its actually the same runner, with stickers that adds an additional 200 bucks to the price tag!

Yes, mine came with the stickers & different rims. Will try to take a pic of it tomorrow & post here. Got charged an extra $100 (compared to the blacks & reds)

 

So far very happy with it, nothing technically horrible happened (touch wood).

Still not very used to the throttle, very hard

 

Only problem I've noticed, was how hot the underseat storage space was after a 10km ride.

Maybe its because I didn't open the 2 tiny "windows" on the front side of the bike?

But the heat is confirm too much, almost painful to touch the insides of the compartment.

If a spare helmet is inside, the person to wear it can surely perm hair with it liaoz

haha..maybe not la..maybe will have rebonded hair..coz hair all compressed straight ma.. Most scooters with underseat storage are like tt..

Seems dat a number of new runners wit problems ony a few days aft collection..I can understand u guys frustation...must make known to PSC all this problems...

Sorry to hear that bro. What to do, women are always like that. I had the same experience as you too. Haiz...

 

Please keep us update what might be the problem. I also have problem starting everytime, need to crank a few time.

 

By the way, is there really a washing service for bike? Where exactly it is?

Ya i agreed that the compartment is hot after travelling for a while. But is also good for me to pack my food and put it inside, can help me warm my food so that it wont turn cold. lol
