Hi guys,

 

Update. Went down to Regina yesterday and got the N102 for $270 (with PSB sticker), $250 without sticker. Some guys were trying on the R-jays jacket, (heard MO going on at $180). Looked cool, was interested and the orange-haired bloke offered me for $160 (he said only 'cos i also bought the N102, dunno true or not). Anyway, i was happy with the price. Armor with mesh, black.

 

Also got to know, new Nolan flip up coming in about 3 weeks, but no specs available. So those patient few, can wait it out.

I have a nolan full face helmet passed down by my friend.

I intend to recondition it.

Any idea where can I do it and how much it will cost?

Dun bother...the lining alone cost $100 at Chong Aik... we have not included visor etc...might as well get a new piece...unless you can live with the present state..

Saw yr PM, sorry for the late reply but did not logon for long time:

 

1. Not sure if there is any noise at 140km/hr on the Bluetooth intercom as I only have one helmet. So far I've spoken on the phone usung Bluetooth at speed of around 100km/hr and I had no any problem. Anyway when you go fast you are not suposed to talk on the phone or intercom. Is too dangerous.

 

2. The helmet is heavy because of its quality. It is built for maximum possible protection for its class. A helmet is not an accessory to comply with the Law. It is an accessiry to protect you. The logest ride time I had wearing the helmet was abt 7hrs. I did not felt it heavy though. It is noisy at high speeds due to flip-up mechanism. A flip-up helmet is for convinient therefore the downside is noise on high speeds.

 

I hope the above are sufficient.

Yes, flip up. Kinda big though, i tot it's bigger than other brand flip ups which i've tried b4 getting this.

N102 is new model, there is new arrival? It is not out of stocks in the 1st place...

The N-COM thing is sold seperately, did not enquire the price though.. but on the whole, the helmet serves its purpose, the mechanism to release the flip up is much easier to release than the N101. Plus the VPS sun screen is an excellent innovation, kinda cool looking too. And if i am not wrong, the N102 is lighter than its predecessor too. At least it feels lighter.. The only thing minor down part, is that the helmet is rather big in size, as in its exterior mould is huge compared to other helmets. However, it really makes up for it for its sleek, curvy design. My favourite flip up helmet so far. Just my 2 cents worth...

for me.... i tried the XL N101 before....bought it... thinking that the cushion will season after a while...but after 2 weeks still cannot make it... so sold it ahead.... always wear only will get headache....

 

that day tried XXl, felt kinda comfy.... it is lighter but i look like loolipop wearing that... and i am quite fat.... go figure.....

 

wats the market price? any MO coming up?

Are those N101/102's things leak proof? I dont mean a frickin head submarine...just something that will keep rain out when rains on highway.

 

and good if it can disperse inside vapor...better if its quiet.

 

And the Ncom thing, does it get radio stations? or mp3? need some registration?

 

I just bought an agv...stupid thing leaks, fogs up, noisy waste of money...ceh...

Maybe the new Nolan arrival means the new Nolan N103 with internal sunscreen not like N102 with VPS outside, I got the info from Nolan website
