That's kind of true. Anyway all I can say is good luck to TS.

There's are a lot of underground activities going on between the movement of "illegal" bikes between SG and MY. Where you get this illegal bikes movement? Figure out yourself.

In any case, you can look at the following poster and you will realize how much bikes cost in MY.

With the resources available online it should be quite easy to find some info:

Vehicle Transfer Fees: https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?ID=EnquireTransferFee for FBC2046R

Lay Up Expiry Date: 22 Apr 2011 - TS bought bike on 23 April 2010? Date seems too coincidental.

The previous owner (and probably still the legal owner) seems to hold all the cards.

Find the previous owner and you might find your bike.

The bike is gone for good, forget about it, blame yourself.

No insurance, no compensation. If it was stolen in SG, still can save, if it was in JB, impossible unless you know someone within the underground circles. Msia is a nice country, its just not Singapore though.

1yr, gone for good, found a new rider already, pray he takes care of it.

Losing a bike is msia is not uncommon. Im not surprised.

Seems like ts is desperate. Once you buy over a bike and done the transfer, insurance should be terminated and you should get YOUR OWN insurance.

Speaking of which. LTA will not let you transfer over a bike without you having a valid insurance for yourself. If you were to do so, you need to lay up the bike.

Seems like just a verbal agreement to me within you and the seller. The law isnt with you.

I dont understand why you would want the papers. He's not obliged to give it to you unless you both agreed to do a additional rider on it.

SG police cannot extend their authority to Msia plus we're not talking about a criminal or terrorist here.
