There are somethings i'd like to add in and make some correction also.

hey guys! can anyone explain to me the proper way of inching out from the stop line? really blur when it comes to inching out. tsk.

thanks guys!

If u're in the circuit, the only inching forward u need to do is after the Figure 8. U will be inching towards the left at the stop line, about 30-45 degrees to wards the left at the stop line. About half a bike length to nearly 3 quarters of the bike.

If u're on the road, the 2 inching forward will be at the 'Fire Station right turn' and opposite the 'hospital right turn'.

Remember, when u're inching forward, take only 1 STEP. When inching forward, ur left foot is not suppose to touch the ground a few times like as though u're pushing the bike forward with ur left foot.

And inch forward slowly. Don't throttle up too much, jerk the bike forward then slam on ur front brakes which causes the bike to stop abruptly. Lots of minor points can come from that.

Move the bike forward gently, and stop smoothly with rear brakes, and less front brakes.

although its been few years back, i tried to recall and make it as detail as possible.

make a completed stop at stop line 1st. if traffic is busy, you can do "inch out", but must "inch out" completely of the bike. before start to "inch out", check blind spot.

if condition not permit, better stay behind the stop line. safety 1st

. :sian:

Before u start to inch out, u have to check BACK. Not check blindspot.

If the condition does not permit u to proceed for the right turn,

DO NOT STAY behind the stopline. Its not 'safety first'.

Failure to inch out can also cause u an Immediate Failure.

Purpose of inching out, is so that when u proceed for the right turn, the rider behind u can proceed along with u as well. Fail to inch out is like holding up the traffic.

Anyway, i've been away for 2 weeks because i'm in Reservist. I'll see u all again soon next week.

Nope, it's fine. Your friend will have to attend 1 hour of orientation followed by half an hour break and then his 1st prac.

If full bike inch out,got car/bike coming from the right, buang already isin't it? Please, common sense! Half of the bike will be just nice when your front tire is in the same line as the wall,it'll be just nice for you to lookout for traffic from the right.I am taking there too,and sometimes I see people inching alot and back tire touch the line, when I am approaching, they tend to move back 2~3 steps. So please think before you say.No offence but what I am trying to say is the fact

Hey, shengbaby. U need to know that which inching out they are talking about before u make that post.

Inching out after the fig8 IN the circuit is half a bike.

When the other forumers says inch out the whole bike, they are talking about OUTSIDE the circuit.

Hence, I dont think u have went out of the circuit before.

And I think is not very nice for u to say: 'think before you say.No offence but what I am trying to say is the fact.'

Because those who knows they have to inch out the whole bike are those who went out of the circuit before, hence they have been there longer den u and have done things more than u.

I dont think its very nice to say that ya ?

When the other forumers says inch out the whole bike, they are talking about OUTSIDE the circuit.

ermm, depends on rd/traffic condition also, if not safe, dun inch out, worst still not safe dun inch the whole bike out.

tat time daniel tp i saw him inch half the bike out while doing a right turn towards AMK ave 9.

bottomline is every action depends on rd/traffic condition

I have no idea what practical are you talking about?

At the moment, I have no plans to take either Class 4 or 5 licenses.

I am on outside road already :)

Do you already have your license and on the road? Or are you taking your practicals outside of the circuit?

Cos I sure haven't heard of inside roads or "outside roads" for that matter.

Yep,that's what I am trying to say too, thankyou

Okay. I apologise for trying to correct you when I'm wrong. It's been a while since I had my license, I've forgotten most of what was taught.

I noticed something, i've been reading some of the posts... And this is what i think.....

For those who are asking for help and advice,

And for those who are replying, TRY to be precise on what u are saying.

Earlier i noticed someone talking about inching forward but did not state whether in the circuit or on the road. Stuff like these for an example.

Not speaking on precise terms can lead to lots of misunderstanding.

If u all wanna have a debate on what to do and what u can't do..... Look for me at SSDC. OK? :thumb:
