Paiseh got to disagree.

 

By using a higher resistance, you will be limiting the current.

By limiting the current, you will be prolonging the lifespan of the LED and not reducing it.

 

I = V/R ==> Higher R = Lower I :cheeky:

 

So in fact you should be using the next higher value of R above 60.

 

Also take into consideration that when motor is started, voltage is increased to 14plus Volts. For an accurate calculation tap using mulitmeter from where you intend to tap supply from LED when bike is started.

 

Tonyhawkz >> If you want to get resistor with +-1% error go to Farnell at Ubi or RS Components at Tuas for Mil Specs. Used to purchase from these places when I was in the Navy. A little more expensive than Sim Lim components though.

Hi guys.. Dun mind me asking ah in case its not appropriate to ask.. Just wondering.. How is this bike compare to vstrom..?? In terms of performance and touring.. Want to ask at a vstrom thread but cannot find one ah... My bro is riding a GS.. Wan to get something similar but GS too bulky...

cross over> if u looking for good pickup than Vara is for u....my friend GS always smell my carbon. if u want fuel economy than GS is the one...Vara like to YYYYAAAAMMMMM...SSSSEEEEENNNGGGGGG.
