u can try Bike Production.. saw one NEW EFI VARA selling 18k.. The last time i saw it there was LAST YEAR dec... happy hunting.

So far we have try using it a duplicate key that does not have a micro chip on it. Bike unable to start so still safe....but who's know, maybe the guys can bypass it or use a tow truck to tow away...so have u claim back your insurance claim...just curious how much do u manage to claim for ur twin....

I bet this will help in your process of claiming back from the insurance...the insurance will try all way to reduce 50-60% of the market value...i manage to claim back my twin abt 90% of the market value......all u need is to proof them the recent transaction...Good luck for ur claim....Lastly, after 3 month u need to go back to the JB Police HQ near the causeway to get the final report to confirm your bike cannot be found....our local insurance will start to compensate you the losses...

NTUC offered 2K to settle the claim. What ever proof you want to show they will always claim the settlement is based on "independant valuer reports". I said I'll accept the amount if they showed me the basis for the reported valuation or the report itself, needless to say they declined.

 

Its a haggling match in the end. They know you need transport, you'll never get what is owned to you, namely "market value at time of loss". I have a car so took my time and got only `~4k after loosing patience (market value at time was between 5 and 6K.

 

Anyone found out how the Vara got stolen in JB without the coded key?

One of the malaysian guy told me that they do not start your bike.. they simply have to bring a screwdriver and a hammer.. That tool will be knocked against your ignition key.. That will cause they handle lock to be unlock.. Then they will push the bike away with a smaller bike like rxz with their leg.. Maybe they will buy new ignition..

Bro, some of the 99 model for Varadero Carb does not come with the HISS system.. Some of the brudder's fatgerls does not have the HISS.. the next best option is to fix up a credible alarm system to avoid the same misfortune of ur own fatgerl being stolen.
