Hey guys,

In your experience selling your bikes to shops, which shops give the best price for your bike without trade-in?

I'm not looking to buy a bike so won't be trading for a new bike, just want to sell.

Thanks!

I think its better to go down with your bike, let them take a look and give you a quote. If you don't ask, you'll never know. They all want to see bike condition before giving a price.

Depends what bike, coe how long, got accessories or not (Brembo, ohlins etc). Shop doesn't really care if your bike is tip top condition or simply running, as long can start, can go can already. That one is up for the next buyer to assess.

sell here is the best...

dun expect to get very good price selling to bikeshops...

Agreed....

Selling direct to seller is best case scenarios but need to invest time to entertain buyers etc.

Selling to shop definitely lose money cos the shop need to think of profit margin when selling it also mah.

also, you will only get a good price from shop if you are trading in for something more expensive.

Its not about hard you can hit, its about how many times you can take a hit and remain standing

Very very true .

We were just chatting and I casually mentioned that I was thinking of selling off my bike . Bikeshop immediately asked me to sell to him and quoted me $800 -$1000. I immediately knew it was not a good deal as I could easily have sold it off for $2000 . 2013 400cc dragstar left 2 years COE . Chrome condition nice . Many parts changed . So you get the idea .

Doing everything DIY that I can now.. Judging by the way things are rite now , it is for the best..

Makes you stronger and less dependent on bike shops.

Encourage others to do likewise and help new riders identify fair deals online~ thus making direct seller to buyer purchases.

Its the only way we can push the motorcycle industry in Singapore forward.
