Hi all sorry if this question has been asked before, but i would like to know...

if for some reasons i do not want lta or the insurance company to deliver letters to my house, is it possible that i use my friend's address instead? (he is agreeable to it btw). i was told the letters arrive 1 week after buying the bike....

thanks! :thumb:

LTA will deliver the letter to whats stated in your IC. If you were to change the address in your IC, it will automatically be updated in LTA's record of the new address.

it's better u prepare for the "confrontation" and tell them urself then later they find out about it "some other way" and you are not prepared to be "confronted" and when 2nd scene happens, it will be worst then the first...

i dun tink there is much to worry unless ur family members likes to open ur govt letters without permission...it can't be seen unless opened ok... :D

Whatever it is.. Its still a must to tell them. You need their blessings. Got my license without their knowledge too, all the way till class 2. But never rode a bike until they are ok with it.

hmmm one last question.. what if i register the bike under my friend, and he add me as a sub rider in the insurance, will that do? what are the drawbacks of doing so? thanks in advance!

most likely if you are sub rider... if ""touch wood"" accident claim or anyting dealing with insurance will affect the main rider next extenstion or renewal of insurance.... he might have higher premium and tings like tat...

herm.. when i first get my bike(second hand) i also kana alot of my parent.. but after awhile they will be okay with it... but you must have the tinking... coz parent will have mindset that bike is dangerous/wat if they lose their only son or daughter?? so.. don be angry or frusrated with them k... they are our laopalaobu.... good luck!!
