anybody using shad top box? in particular Shad SH48 that i saw in LAB/Regina.. the design is quite nice

i got it few days ago.. really look nice on the bike! able to hold 2 full face easily putting them down sideways.

 

it is also able to remove key in "unlock" mode. so when i reach my destination, i can first remove helmet, keep my stuff then i lock it back..

 

the base plate comes with lots of screws and i was about to secure 4 point to my rack. very stable.

sometimes the "unlock key mode" is a good function cause we tend to accidentally leave our keys dangling when we move off.. anyways upss for the Shad!

yeah.. but its a double edge thing.. becoz there also could be cases where you put your things in, happily close the box without locking it..

 

but the thing is potiential thief really have to go to the box to see that it is in unlock mode..

hi wat do u mean with rack? as in bike rack and base plate?

SHAD dun think have side panniers mate...

been buying new SHAD boxes since Givi getting more ex & made in Malaysia...lol

 

Standard brand new top box or side panniers come in a package of base plate & box or panniers themselves...

 

I believe thread starter is saying $180 with box & rack (depend on what bike)

LAB either using Givi monorack or those local made metal rack tat will rust over time...

 

Anyone have any idea abt SHAD 40 box pricing...

Thinking of dwgrading my old skool type E460 (the rectangular type with handle; very rare nw..lol)

the sH48 is similar to Maxima e52 in design but pricing cheaper than a Maxima...

 

e45 is the old type square ones?

cause the e450n can get from ah boy at around $120

this looks ard the same range as the givi e450n

the coocase astra 48L without alarm is ard $150

maybe drop by ah boy to have a look then see how...

might want to change out my e450

got mine box + baseplate as already has a rack

i have used give simply45 and maxia myself.. and i am confident to say quality is as good as the maxia...

and much better than the givi simply 45l

 

i haven seen any shad rack around.. but my baseplate can fit nicely to a cocase rack with 4 screws mounted and its stable
