Guys, any idea which shops carries brand new coverset for maxsym 400? will it be costly to replace the whole cover set? Less the front mudguard and rear side fairing.

 

There's pricing in this list but it's in RM. Reckon it would be costlier in SG. If you have the means though, can try emailing the branch in Skudai and ride over to fix it.

. There is a yellow switch under the seat. Can flip open/close. What is that for??

. Is already one year old bike but I can smell some hot plastic burning smell. So weird. Normally those first hand bike can smell it.

. When riding got a wind cutting sound. Weeeeee sound very sharp. Is it normal.

1) Yellow switch is the engine immobilizer for theft prevention. Turn it on and you can't start the engine, can only turn on the electricity.

2) Mine is a 2012 bike and that plastic burning smell is still there. Not sure what's causing the smell but I guess there's no safety issues.

3) Wind-cutting sound? Not sure what you mean

You mean the 'Maxsym 400i"? That just means "Injected" a.k.a Fuel Injected. There's no ABS model in Singapore as far as I know. For ABS model there will be an extra "ABS" under the Maxsym wordings.

Bro.... I read the manual.. Going to faint.. Those service stated to be replaces every 15000km.. Gosh.. That is a lot...

1) Engine oil - 5000km

2) Engine oil filter - 10000km

3) Gear oil - 15000km

4) Coolant - 15000km

5) CVT belt - 15000km

6) CVT roller - 15000km

7 Spark plug - 15000km

 

So many thing to be replace. I think I miss out the air filter.. How you guys maintain this bike. Can give some tips or advices. Which bike shop or at Jb where got good lobang shop...
