Here's a few questions posted regarding the fazer 1000 2007 model owner:

(1) Roughly how big is the under seat compartment (can put 1 X rain coat?) and can i lock a helmet onto the seat or is there a lock somewhere?

(2) Does the stock windscreen provide enough protection? (for use in SG roads; max will be like 120kph)

(3) It carries 2 headlight or 4? (fazer 600 has 2 more tiny light at the edge; i wonder does fazer 1000 has it too?)

(4) Can a slider be fitted into the bike straight away?

Is 04-06 F6 the same model?

May I know whats the FC for 04-06 F6 and whats the size of the fuel tank, 17l?

At Rpm 7k ( i guess thats when the valve opens?), Whats the speed like?

Is the TPS very exp to replace?

I might be Left Handed, But I'm Always RIGHT

DIY list

1. Volt Meter

2. Air Box Mod

3. Electric Horn

4. Dual Head Light

yes, 04 to 06 fz6 are all the same except for variation in color schemes..

if i rem correctly, the tank is 15.5L for main, reserve is additional 3.5L. so total is 19L

the engine starts to scream like a sports bike after 7k rpm. cant rem the speed the last time i went past 7k on it..

HL did a recall for most of the earlier fz6 to have the TPS replaced. actually the 04 batch had the most TPS problems, some 05 ones also. to play it safe better check with current owner, shop and HL if u intend to get second hand one.

well, no bike is perfect. there bound to be some who like it and some who don't like it. it's up to individual preference of bikes. some previous owners said they don't like certain aspects of the bike but others like me love the bike.

it's normal that the engine is hot, it's after all a class 2 bike. most class 2 bikes tend to be hot. u cant feel it on sportsbike cos they have fairing to shield your legs from it, but that also means the engine may be warmer if stationary. give n take lah.. :cheeky:

if u're afraid of the heat, wear jeans to ride instead. i used to ride with berms on my previous fz6 cos our weather is already freaking warm... :cheeky:

Thanks for all the advice =D

Hope to join the next outing for fz6, wanna face-to-face ask some questions about the ride.

Sorry for some noob questions, anyway know the speed at rpm 7000?

And also do fz6 have any fuel indicator? Coz i notice theres been a change in the console( speedometer, rpm).

The new brakes for fz6 07,is it Brembo brake(front)? Coz i notice Yamaha bikes usually comes stock with Brembo brakes, saw 04-06models having rear brembo brake.

Any good webby to recommend for fz06? Wanna find out more on the specs and more photos. HL webby doesnt show much.

u have to ask LollyPop the speed at that rpm cos he/she currently riding the bike.

it comes with fuel indicator but just that these days, it's within the digital console display, so only way to see it is to turn on the bike.

nt sure if the front ones are brembo, i only rem the rear is nissin single piston one. but the 07 model comes with 4 pistons caliper, definitely better than the previous model in terms of braking power.

if u need more info on fz6, just go google n type 2007 fz6 n u shd be able to find a more detail spec on the bike

Thanks, the reason I kept asking about the speed is because I wish to do some touring on my future fz6. Intend to go around 150-160km/h constant. Guess thats 8-9k rpm. Quite alright imo.

Gonna get my hands on H&B side boxes the moment I collect my bike.

Just wondering, the facelift of the console , 04-06 having full digital( speedo and rpm ), and now 07 digital speedo, analog rpm. I can't help to wonder, why the change? Is it because its problematic? Or when it breaks down, its pricer to repair?

Try going faster so that you will not feel so much heat.

Guess which word had this meaning.

1. Any code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another, esp. an unwritten code of sexual behavior permitting men more freedom than women.

2. A set of principles permitting greater opportunity or liberty to one than to another, especially the granting of greater sexual freedom to men than to women.

3. A set of principles establishing different provisions for one group than another; also, specifically, allowing men more sexual freedom than women.

He is refering to car models, not bikes.Even V-max might be getting a new facelift soon.

As for the Q on 07 meter different from 04-06.Its because of cutting costs. If yamaha uses the same meter as 06 FZ 1000,they will save alot.

Dun worry abt the rpm and speed kinda things, the bike already is a proven touring bike.Just get it and and do some real riding.See you on the road, man.

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS
