Trip Report - Pahang STATE Park Endau-Rompin via Selendang, Pahang

Taman Negeri Endau-Rompin

entrance via Selendang, Pahang

there are two entrance to this national reserve jungle

from Kahang, Johor

and

from Endau, Pahang via selendang paddy estate

 

the one from pahang is 100% tar road

entrance is RM 10

 

How to go from JB

Go till Mersing town and from there follow road towards Kuantan Pahang

Passby Endau town and before 4km reaching K.Rompin , you see on left sign board SELENDANG and Taman Negeri Endau Rompin

 

take note it is called taman negeri means state park and not taman negara ( national park)

 

although both are the same jungle pahang entrance is known taman negeri only

from the junction it is 25km to forest

u will pass by paddy fields and selendang 1,2,4 junctions.

Head towards selendang 3 and there is another junction turning left which 12km takes u into forest

Also there is sign board

U do not need map

Good 100% tar road and good signboards

You will not lost

 

no housing settlement, no orang asli

got 6 chalets and 3 guide and office

jungle trekking, kayaking, waterfall

the road after selendang for 12km is superb with winding and scenery

just could not imagine the beauty with cool air

there is a place where timber cutting completed. Real screwed the forest. Become botak.

 

the best is kayaking into the river into deep jungle

 

i went alone and it was impromtu. I used yamaha spark Z 110cc only. Good pwer to climb uphill... hehehehe on 2nd gear only can climb. kekekeke

The forest checkpost guard has same bike like mine Yamaha Spark Z 110cc

he said he and people there uses motocross/scrambler tires to enter timber cutting forest

wow. first time i saw cub kia bikes using motocross tyres and make the bikes behave same same like scramblers

 

he said got one group big bikers spore came and said they avoid using Johor entrance cause it has mud road and bad for their bikes.

 

be there 9am and can return 4pm

Make sure Endau town pump Caltex full tank cause no kiosk till forest.
