hi guys any more update on the new bike crossrunner?

i been looking into this forum

http://www.honda-crossrunner.com/index.php

can learn more abt the cross runner.. gd reviews from that website.. bt its more to to European forum though..

I tot of getting this bike and make a downpayment.. have been riding fz1 fz6s2 and blackbird however im quite small and have this issue of tip toeing..

currently bike is out of stock and no sample for me to seat on it and feel hw much i nid to tip toe.. Is there any kind soul would help me so that i can view the bike personally and have a feel of the tip toeing.. im quite short 1.65 only.. its stated that the seat height is 815mmm for the Xrunner.... fz6s2 is 795mm, fz1 is 820mm and blackbird is 810mm..

will i face any difficulties in tip toeing comfartbaly.. ??cz i tip toe comfartably after some adjustment for fz1 and fz6 blackbird.. definitely if the seat height is 850mm like GS and tenere it would be a no go for me,..,

any adviced guys..

Hi newblood,

hope the below information can help you.

hey tanxs a lot ragarding the illustration.. however still quite nt satisfied till seat on one..

i went to a bike shop in bukit merah and sat on a vfr1200 cc the dual clutch ones.. seat is 79Omm.. and i tip toe comforatbaly with slippers.

Bt the new new crossrunner (CR) i still waiting for a sample to seat on before making a downpayment.. cz some seat are wider thus taking a lot of space for the thigh leg area..

eg im able to tip toe comfortable on a tirumh tiger 800 bt can only stand on one leg for BMW GS 800 cz the GS800 seats are wider taking more space at thigh leg area..

Is the CR seat wider.. is the seat cave in like vfr 1200 seat:

http://vfrworld.com/photos/data/721/VFR_1200_2_005.jpg

if its does cave in i preety much sure theres no need much seat cutting to be done..

Bro fire dragon have a few qns to ask regarding this CR

1) fuel consumpption to reserve hw many km can u get and rsevere kicks in at how may litres..

cz from what i read it states that fuel compsumption is quite bad..

heres the link which i read:

http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcycles/2012models/2012-Honda-CrossrunnerVFR800X.htm

http://www.iol.co.za/motoring/bikes-quads-karts/we-ride-go-anywhere-honda-crossrunner-1.1147369

2) is there any helmet lock or any placed to hook our helmet below the seat??

3) what kind of topbox are u using? the topbox side panniers frfom honda looks beautiful bt its way expensive $2400 for all 3 and cant but indiviually.

and i went down to givi mah motor and they dont have any givi box for CR yet.

i managed to find these top box though from shad :

http://www.shad.es/en/shad-usa/products/fittings/honda/c12mar1/

theres is others form H&B and the rest.. bt its way expensive just for the looks and double locking.. own them previously.

3) R u able to lend a helping hand.. i wana view the bike personally as theres none out at the bikehop and show room.. and i cant find CR rider yet at the road..??

4)cosmetically wise what have u done to ur bike and roughly hw much?

i intetend to get top box, higherwindshield, headlight protector, scott oiler and crashbars if i do owe this bike.

Newblood :Maybe you should able to try to see it from Boon siew showroom. i think they trying to importing new batch soon this month... For me, accessorizes it was not the main point of getting this bike. It is the performance of its V4 engine which had been the legend for its power.

fire dragon.. darn bro.. the machine and the power of the V4 is in fact legend for its power.. however i decided to settle down for the NC700 series..

1st reason because of its fantastic milage bt i know i wont be getting the top end.. the nc700 series is driven by parallel twin engine..

NC700 not bound for Singapore since Crossrunner is already here...

This is what happens for the Europe side...NC700 will be available in Japan, Thailand and Malaysia...where Crossrunner is not available...

Still..u can check with Boon Siew..who knows, they may bring in a couple of units...I know Looi's probably won't be bringing in...

Cheers!!

*1 point to add...NC700X seat height is higher by 15mm and smaller tank...but, yes, good consupmtion... :)

NC700S...nicee...that would be very interesting! NC700S have a seat height at 790mm. If u're used to Blackbird, it will be very similar since this fella will also have a slightly broader seat.

and...nice brake discs!! *drools*

What's the OTR or Machine price?

You opt for the dual (DCT) or manual (MT) clutch?

its 14L bro.. the S model and X model is both 14 L..

according to nc700 forum.. the bike can go from 380-420.. even if u go touring mode 140-160 kmh still can reach 380.. that wad i get form the international forum.

the X model will be coming in after july bt do not noe when as honda cant comfirm.

while the S series is coming dis late mth..

my S model is 17100 without insurance more or less the same as super4 revo 1st hand.

i went to asp regarding the bike.. they dont even noe abt the bike.

i enquired futher then only they quote me 19k without insurance.. thus i went back to boon siew.
