From what I understand from the ZX10R forum & my dealer, there will only be minor changes like new colour scheme, graphics. Dun really know but definately no underseat exhaust for 2005.

I bought mine at Dili Trading as I have been dealing with him a few times. No hanker panky business. The price is less than $24000 with 5% annually (3rd party fire & theft based on 30yrs old). If you dun need a subrider, you can buy the policy from Mitsui for $200 less. I have to top up the difference b/c I need to add Evo in, so he has agree to paid for the difference. J/K

So far his price is reasonable & aftersale service is very good. If you wanna compared all the 4 litre bikes, I suggest that you can view either at Loois motor or New Southern motor.

PM me your number if you need any assistance. The only issue for this bike is maybe the rattling sound that most people experience during the pre-production manuafacturing due to the gear whine is supposed to be there, but the rattle AFTER you let off the throttle is an incorrectly shimmed alt gear. This is an issue that effects the early production run more than the others. I'm not sure if KHI has rectified this problem, but it doesn't really harm anything other being a nuisance. (Can't confirm this issue yet) Dun forget the recall wheels as well that affect all the bike ranging from JKAZXCC14A000491 thru 017303.

Count has remove his bike to check for loose parts a few times but couldn't find any. (Thanks for your infor)

My other friend has bring down to the agent to solve the rattling noise. Not very sure what they do to it, but according to him, it's sounds more quiet now.

Maybe Count or the zx10r owner may want to check this out. Fyi, Evershine only warranty the new bike for 6 months, so better do this fast. If the rear tail crack or the support has snapped, you may want to try to ask for an replacement. I found out someone managed to get a new set in USA.

Cheers.

Hi there. Local Kawasaki warranty only lasts for 4 months or 5000km, both which sadly no longer apply to my bike. :(

I'm still very interested in getting rid of that 3-4k rattling sound though, how long did it take for the bike to be serviced?

Sounds like a good night...sorry I couldn't join you. I was stuck in the lecture from hell and only made it home at 9:50...by that time I was faaaaar to tired to contemplate high speeds!

Anyway, I just bought new boots and gloves so I need an excuse to test them...Next time I'll definitely come along...

Hi Count,

For the warranty period, I was told by my dealer that it is a 6 month period. My friend bring in to them for a few days, due to the fact that they didn't know what to do.

Anyway I believe yours will be faster b/c it not their first case already. Just go down & check with them, or call their manager to find out. If the price is unreasonable, you can write to Kawasaki Customer Dept to complained about it. Do you know that in USA, the warranty period is 24 months?

I should said ard 2 days or less to get it done. Remember this, our bike cost around $25k & if it is unrealiable, then we need to address to the KHI. Imagine that if our TV, Fright, PC or electrical appliances is down during warranty period, we always get it repaired or replace them although they cost only a fraction of what we are paying. My point is, how come the bike is not treated in such manner?

Just my 0.2 cent.

Hello Alex,

Evershine issues every Kawasaki sold with a servicing logbook with the warranty period written as a 4 month or 5000km whichever comes first. Of course I wouldnt complain about a 6 month warranty but I'm expecting to pay for the repair.

Has the problem completely disappeared for your friend? No more rattling noises between 3-4k rpm?

anyway pay so much for a bike, if the agent sucks just **** 'em.....i've had just about enough of these type of crap sh*t lousy business ethics...

I went out for a ride in them last night and they were both a bit stiff...I could hardly change gear cos the boots were so rigid! There's no problem with them though, they'll take a bit of wearing in. I'm very impressed with the boots...the support around the ankle is excellent, and the gloves are very good too.
