Anyone knows where I can just make the key and not the HISS chip? Cuz my key is bent and I scared that it might break. However, the HISS chip is still ok la. So I was thinking of just making the key and attaching it to my current HISS chip portion. Any bros and sis have suggestions?? I don't want to go to shop later they say must change the whole thing.. haha..

You mite wanna do dis...

 

Duplicate ur original key and use only the duplicated key(without the chip) for ur tank, helmet clip and for taking out ur seat. Leave the original key with the chip solely for the ignition. Dat way. u will prolong the lifespan of the original key and it wont bent or break so easily. U will have o attach two keys to ur key chain den but its worth the trouble den to end up with a key with one half broken in the ignition... Cheer!!

You can do it. just dup your key (without HISS chip), then open the side cover of yr original key, use a small knife gently remove the chip. Then paste it to your new key.

Quite a good suggestion.. but I don't wanna put another key.. cuz my bunch has 7 keys liao... so many... was thinking if can change just the key part I'll do it la.. cuz the chip still good.. wasted if I change the whole thing.. Anyone knows a place to make it??

HISS can be bypassed.

 

Easy way is to stick your key head near your ignition.

Hard way is to rewire your ignition to bypass HISS. This is very difficult and unless you have Honda's internal manual, not many can do it.

Hi.. Guys.. would like to duplicate a spare HISS Key. Did a search in the forum on the duplication of HISS key...found no conclusive results.. went thru the component list too... it says at boon siew, cost $30plus for normal key, $30plus for HISS... any brothers and sisters here with any really good advice or alternative?

boon siew total cost is around $85-$90 (parallel import)

Heard that others can get $60 from other motorshop.

Most of the bike shop charge u $60 to duplicate a pair of key which include programming . Some bike shop will sell u the key first and then ask u to go locksmith to cut the key first then go back to look for them to program the hiss key .

 

There is a locksmith shop beside the LAB . U can buy the key from that shop for $30. I think that locksmith should know how to program the Hiss key by now .

My advise is don nd to save that extra $60 for e spare key as it can last u lng enough 4 that price($90).I have 2 bad experience already doing outside n nxt time i'll straight away aim 4 Boon Siew rather than outside.Till nw i hve oso noe hw to duplicate HISS key too as it's v simple as i feel any1 can oso do it too but i choose nt to do it myself n 4 others.Hope it helps n don be regret later on.
