Hey peeps, new to this forum, just passed my tp. woooooo

getting a bike soon, now in the process of surveying.

anyway, i got a few questions. hope you guys can help me out.

1) anyone can give a rough estimate for price for 2nd hand fz150i, cbr125r and pulsar?

scared later i go shop ask, they quote me super high price and i wouldn't know. hahhaha :cheeky:

2)how's the process of buying 2nd bike from shop? they settle everything for you? including insurance? choose at the shop or must i apply insurance separately 1st?i planning to cash and carry btw.

3) any good shops to recommend? hehehe.

sorry if my questions sound dumb, super-inexperienced. hahhaaa:cheeky:

thanks in advance.

My advice to you is not to rush. Also try to go with someone experienced. Good luck.

congratulations on passing your tp

i don't know the market price for those bikes mentioned above, but you can go and monitor the garage sales in this forum or go to several bike shops to get more quotes. but anyway, shops can settle your insurance for you as well, but it might not be the cheapest. you could settle your insurance on your own too, its an easy task.

btw if you are planning to cash and carry, then why buy from shop? its cheaper to buy from private sellers. shops usually mark up the prices of their bikes for profit.

i bought a used fz150i (fbd plate) for around 4.5k OTR. i think that's considered damn cheap, cos most fz150i i've seen were going for at least 4k plus machine price. i bought at m1 motors in changi. 6 months and i'm loving my ride. and their service is very good. 2 month warranty for my used bike, when other shops only offer 1 mth warranty.

buying from shop gotta take note of :

OTR = On The Road, bundle inclusive of Rd Tax, Insurance, Machine, misc fee, transfer fee etc... again different shop has different policy on OTR. Do inquiry first before buying.

Buying 2nd hand is always a "risk", but there are tell tale sign of each bike. From its chassis, condition/sound of the engine etc.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
