i seen gear sock are selling at super high price of $20 , base on the simplicity of the product . anyone know where to get a cheaper on ? and any idea to make one ? 92422512 thanks thanks

just take a piece of shrink wrap, coax the bugger in then heat it. same purpose bro.. max to max if you look like carrot head, sim lin aill charge you 2.00 per meter

Sorry to dig thread.. Just to check, is there a lot of people using this item on their gear lever?

Have seen a few bikes with gear socks but does not look too common.

I have a friend (who works as dispatch) using it and I ask him what is the purpose. He told me can take off to wash when it is dirty.

 

But I think it makes more sense that it prevents wear on your shoe, especial for those riders wearing business shoes.

Use MORE soapy water! Haha. You'll just have to wiggle your way in!!!
