Following is the rough Itinerary for this trip:

10 April 2013 (Wed) - Meet up and Move Off. Estimated Meeting and moving off time: 2300hr - 2359hr

11 April 2013 (Thur) - Reach Hatyai. Estimated to reach 10 - 12 hours.

12 April 2013 (Fri) - Move off to Phuket. Estimated 6 hours travel on Thai highway. (Water War will start in the evening)

13 April 2013 (Sat) - Water War Day!!! (Usually fire will seize by evening but there will be still some area in war)

14 April 2013 (Sun) - Phuket Ride Around. (Phuket Bike Week - TBC)

15 April 2013 (Mon) - Back to Hatyai.

16 April 2013 (Tue) - Option 1: Hatyai R&R before heading back to Singapore / Option 2: Ride back to Singapore

17 April 2013 (Wed) - Option 1: Ride back to Singapore / Option 2: Take a day off to rest at home / Option 3: Go back to work

 

The above is a rough itinerary. I believe we will need a poll to vote for 16 April 2013 (Tue).

Latest Annoucement

 

Momo and me has already found a hotel in phuket and they are having a promotion price but condition is to book now while stock last.

 

So I will create a whatsapp group by this week with all the names in the list and will ask their approval after revealling the price and their decision

on whether wanted to share room or go alone, if all is ok with details to go ahead, momo will assist us to book the rooms.

 

For those who can decide by this week, please do call / sms / call me directly at 96689088 (John) to confirm your places.

Those who cant confirm, its still ok, please confirm with me by end Nov, but hotel rates will subject to change, or even might be a different hotel.

Some Info on the checklist for the ride.

 

Checklist as follow:

1) International Passport validity minimum 6 months: eg: 15 April 2013

2) Cashcard for toll payment at Tuas check-point

3) Touch n Go card for toll payment at Gelang Patah toll station

4) Copy of motorcycle log card to be produce for examination by Thai Custom at Sadao Checkpoint. Letter of Authorization from bike’s owner & copy of owner passport or NRIC,

5) Thailand 3rd party motorcycle insurance.

6) Personal travel insurance for duration of ride. Insurance Provider helpline to be pasted on passport for easy retrieval in case of accident.

7) Comprehensive insurance for motorcycle, optional. Biker are subject to own risk if bike is stolen or total loss after 50 km of Thai/Malaysia border.

8) Contact of next-of-kin (NOK) to be written on slip of paper & slot or paste into passport.

9) Bike to be serviced 2 weeks prior to the ride, to allow rider ample time to test bike road worthiness.

10) Bring own tyre repair kit, headlight bulbs, spark plugs, etc

11) Pack personal stuff 2 nights before departure to avoid confusion during last minute packing

12) Essentials to bring ride; Ear plugs, cable tie, zip lock bag, spare bike key, sunglass, spare glasses, contact lens, minimum 1 set of day clothing, phone charger & adaptor.

13) A good night sleep prior to ride.

14) A positive attitude and defensive riding style on the road.

15) Top up your tank full the night before move out the next morning.

I have to work man, so confirmed I can't go already. Perhaps 10th Apr, night time, I will meet you guys and ride until KL or Ipoh, then I will sleep over at my relative's place, and return to SG the next day.

 

Btw, I am hitting malacca roundabout trip on 7 apr (sunday). Makan, shop and chillax only. Night ride back to SG. If ya free to join me, let me know.
