i just got my sp, dunno wad rpm den change gear leh. i only ride b4 those 4-stroke engine at the driving centres, den i ride sp, so damn loud, dunno how to hear the sound to change gear.

 

can tell me roughly wad rpm den change gear? thanks!

want to save petrol 4k...can also avoid the machine gun sound at 4.5 to 5k

wan fast...every gear above 7k to open valve

 

for me, btw 5 to 6k

dun worry bout e sound...i noe its a big diff for 4 strokes e feeling

if u never tune it to other rpm, ok, maybe not u, the prev owner, or the prev owner's mech didn't tune it to other rpm, 7000rpm and beyond, u will feel there suddenly have more power, torque and thrust. and your exhaust become very smoky. and your hands continue vibrating even after u finish riding. haha.

 

in other words, the SP have a small turbocharger that is activated once the rpm goes beyond 7000rpm. This is not an exact figure, varies from 6800 to 7200rpm for normal sp. not to say 6799rpm won't open valve la. it's a range of figures that vary from sp to sp, but is usually set at ard 7000rpm.

 

just give it a try, it's damn fun. first gear also can. if u do it (in)correctly, u can even wheelie!
