Wow , that's a real bad experience :giddy: and i don't know where's the fuel hose ... someone tell me ?

Fuel Hose is the one tube just to the right of of ur fuel knob. It is usually fastenered by a clip. Turn to off then remove that tube if u want to remove ur fuel tank to install airbox or filter....

My fren was saying he took it out and wash it, dry it then install back once every couple of months. I'm lazy to remove the fuel tank even though i know how to... So change it better la. Just wondering, how long u guys change the filter (not KNN one la, honda original filter) in the airbox? those nv install airbox not need to say la.......

asharie also kena number plate? lol. mine too. the bugger say i must secure my number plate on the outside by screwing it to the fairing head. At first he told me i need to reinspect the bike, then i screwed him left right center, he finally say he'll consider it FOC if i'm able to do what he wanted in the next 2 hours. I came back to him in 10 mins after going opposite to do my stuff. he lan lan gave me FOC. haha.

I was pretty fed up that day, because it costs $16.80 for a less than 10 minute check on the bike. Summore it didn't fail anything, EXCEPT the number plate. How stupid can it get? If he fails me because of my exhaust at least i know it's standardized, then i can accept the failure. but fcuk the number plate thingy, even TPs who stopped me never mentioned about this. grr.

Chenz: did they fail you for front number plate not being screwed onto the windshield? if it's so, yes, metal plates are required to be screwed on. you can't just slot it in. if they fail you cause it's sticker plate, screw them upside down! lol. cannot argue much with him la, it's stated black and white that metal plates must be screwed on. you don't fulfill his requests, he don't let you pass, you can't renew road tax.

Hi to all SP riders!!

Currently taking my 2b license and am considering getting the sp after i graduate.. Need to ask some pointers from you guys out here!

1) For maintenance wise, does SP require higher maintenance then other sports bike e.g kawa kips?

and roughly how much does it cost per month for maintenance?

2) Does it require full service often cos i read tat 2T bikes need more servicing then 4T bikes.

3) I have 2 bikes in mind which is the kawa kips and SP. However, my decision is kinda fixed on SP as it is heavier and have better control? hm, does anyone have other recommendation for a newbie like me? hehe...

4) Since SP has stop its production around 2004, I cant get a 1st hand one already rite? lets say i wanna get a 2nd hand SP, its more likely tat 2nd hand bikes might have already accident or mishaps on it.. any ways to check it before i get a proper and safe one?

5) Lastly, got anybody there who can teach me how to maintain it so tat i wont have to spend so much money when i get my hands on it? haha..

thanks alot in advance for helping me answer all my questions!

cheers!

For ur above questions,

SP and Kawa maintainence depends on the rider who is riding it...If the previous rider got maintain the condition of the bike, den the bike will be gd.

Full service had to be done at least once every 2 months if u are those type that chiong everyday.

How to maintain the bike??Well, there's alot of things to tell u but if u buy a SP and join us for outing,Our professionals will tell u what is wrong with ur SP and how to troubleshoot it.

seriously just pay first la, usually you'll have to pay first even if you are not at fault. no choice. it wont 'jepordise' your claim in any way if u made the idac report/survey and submitted the claim already. even if you win the claim you'll have to wait at least 8mths to a year to get the money back. you wana wait that long? how bad is the accident?

lauze, mai luan luan kong leh! if u are not at fault the insurance wont charge u a higher price next year. but if the other party claims from you a big amount, yeah they will charge you higher also. and if you dont repair the bike first, wahkau! how long u wana go without a bike? win case nevermind leh, lose leh?

chenz: don't anyhow arrow. bike with cracked saitao is called motogp bike ah? lol. you promoted frm motogp to F1 alr eh. you have spoiler to create more downforce so won't wheelie. when going to change to CF one? need kangtao to fabricate one? remember to waterprint HRC on it k! hahah. :p

death7878: maintainance go JB do. around 140RM. do every 2 - 3 months. if you whack everyday (always change gear above 8k RPM) then better do more often. as for DIY for SP, not many people here know how to do it. i only know some basics. but it's quite fun to take your bike apart to learn more about what part is this and that and how does the whole bike work. but make sure you know how to put it back correctly lah. lol. when buying your bike, get someone who is quite good with SP to go down with you.

Well i put a total of 7 cubes of LED(one cube consist of 3 LED) and strobe light ( the TP light) from front to back

Led cube : 7 x $8 ( one cube $8) = $56

Strobe Lights : $40

Total : $56 + $40 + $10(service charge)

= $106

Got alot of things that u can do to ur lighting,eg:blinking led, rainbow led (changes every 2 secs) and loud horn

140/80? i don't think SP can use such wide tires. those tires are used by rs125 and mito. i think if you try to fit one onto a SP, it'll brush against the swingarm. not sure about that though. r2 is about $13 at ah boy. motul 710 $18 at HKL.

powiee: put a switch and dont' on it in SG lo. except when you're parking. haha..
