hey guys.. i gotta question..

how long does it take to do "bleeding"??

my fren told me dat when he changed his brake hose the other day, it would take quite some time.. depending on luck.. cos he said when he do bleeding for his new front brake hoe it took him an hour.. but when he do bleeding for his new rear brake hose.. it took him 3 hours!!!!

:giddy:

is dat really true ah bros?? cos i dun wanna waste 5 hours in a workshop looking at the mechanic pumping my rear and front brakes!!

Guess you haven't been around long enough..Circus also got motorbikes..Ahaha..Anyway what has riding w/out using your hands got to do with riding in between trailers and making you lose control? I don't see any connection at all..Care to emphasize?

On the US government agency's website, it said extra room in the fuel tank is needed to allow the fuel to expand.

ya bikes dont have, but this!

aiya i still dont understand why ppl try to save that extra 50cents and try to pump it to the BRIM. oh well.

just thinking, when fuel is being burnt, doesnt it automatically creates space for the remainder to expand?

true true!! i tink the website is for cars lah.. cos car got more fuel capacity.. as for bikes.. our tank so small dun tink it will make much diff..

imagine they ban us from bouncing on our seats and rocking our bike back and forth..man..

btw: if the petrol expands becoz of wether then the tank shld expand too and it shld expand more since its metal, so there bike wont face such problem i think. and most of the time after we pump we ride off we def use 100ml-1L+ of petrol when we reach home, so we should not face such problems.

Good and bad is just the difference between perceptions.

by checking allignment offset or not in a simple/cheap way (but not very accurate) is sit straight on your bike, balance yourself n free hand. N see if the bike will go straight or tend to go to one side.

Do all this on a straight road n PLS when theres no cars. Sometimes its not accurate cos maybe your butt weight is more on the other side. so the best is to bring down to bike shop n let them do it for u. :thumb:

yeah of course when i do it when theres no car. midnight i did that only. anyway so it is possible to make it straight? but need more time?

no lah. metal definitely expands slower or less than petrol at a given temperature. however we must consider the the fact that the petrol is protected from direct sunlight where as our fuel tank is directly under the sun. I agree with flykite that by riding 40km there will be space created for expansion. in any case, where our fuel is pumped in, there are holes that leak out excess fuel from our tank onto the ground so we might not have worry afterall ! lol.

That explains it clearly..Ahaha..But never experience such things yet..Ahaha..The only thing that pushes me away from the trailers/lorries is the fumes/smoke/smell from their exhausts..Also not forgetting the heat it emits..

hmm... that time HKL change bleed my front brake it took 20 mins max... minus off the time he was looking at other bikes that is. in all, with the mech slacking and walking around it took 40 mins to bleed my front brakes. rear brakes i not sure but i dun see the whole process taking more than an hour.

hmm... i have experienced being "pushed" by the wind when a big trailer shoots past me but only when i am travelling at a high speed.

when i do delivery i have to wear a huge bag which means more surface area for the wind to push against. and lastly, pls zip up your jackets as sometimes wind catches the inside of your jacket and you can lose your balance. SP so light not like those bigger bikes so stable.

SPChoo: isnt that it? the petrol leaks out. if you pump at mobil(the one nearest customs) and fill it to the brim, wont your petrol leak out a lil when making that U turn back to customs?
