hi...anibody here can help me? my sp e front headlight spoil liao. oni got light when on high beam...n e worst ting is oni e right side got light. ani place to recomend where i can fix it? cos the place i always go to quote me 70bucks...duno ex or not.

is either NTUC AXA will follow the rule or mitsui will remove the rule since everyone will go to NTUC / AXA instead

 

maybe NTUC AXA set 2nd party insurance compulsary

maybe so, but i still got my insurance cheaper at ntuc without the $150 loading for my s4.

sad. i went to ask for the price to extend for 1 mth. $45 0.O

insurance expire on 26 oct. road tax expire on 3rd May. which means i have to extend for 1 mth to have insurance coverage to extend another 6mths.

 

ok guys, i have a qns. if i went for inspection on Apri 25th instead. dun care abt the last few days can extend from then another 6 mths so tat i wont have to extend my insurance?

Think $45 is as cheap as it gets..What were you hopin for? $10?

When you renew rod tax it will start one the next dat after your previous road tax expires..So it doesn't matter what date you go for your inspection..As long as not after roadtax expired..If expired think you will get fined..Worst still if you ride there with an expired road tax..Well..Lets not go there..My dvice is just extend your insurance to coincide with your road tax..

might be wiring or headlight bulb prob.. thats what i experienced.. just change one lightbulb and socket ~25rm

Can i enquire how much does a second hand sp cost? Went to a shop and the guy told me 2nd hand sp coe till 2012 going for 2.8k.

 

Is dis price reasonable and does it include insurance? If it doesn't then how much would insurance cost?

no no. only 2b have probation period. you dun see any 2a bikes displaying p-plate right ? haha

Actually 2A also have probation..Meanin that their points are lowered..No more 24..Back to square one..

aiyah dun buy from shop. buy from our forum better. you can consider Slize's. it is in very good condition. he selling at 2k only. you buy from shop confirm needa overhaul which would cost you a bomb.

 

the 2.8k the shop quoted u most likely does not include insurance of about 400-600 dollars. might not include road tax of 50 bucks too. the 2.8k they quoted is thus probably the machine price of the bike only which in my opinion is on the high side. pm me and i will tell you which shops to avoid if you insist on buying from bike shop

 

buy from private owner confirm better. remember to look for Slize from this forum. if i haven't bought my bike i would buy his !!!

Oh I see.. Thanks for your updates Choo.. But I barely registered don't really know when then can get license.. I came across Slize's bike too but not sure if can pass in time to meet his selling date..

 

Anyway, see how it goes ba. Hope can pass in abt a month's time. Now hols can cheong prac heheh..

u must ask them whether is the price they quote u just the machine price or OTR (on the road ). if u are buying from shop and they tell u 2.8k OTR for a bike whose COE end on 2012 it should be a FU plate.... it is considered very cheap. however, if they are willing to sell u at such a low price den sumthign must be fishy.... either the bike alot of prob 1 or there may be a lot of hidden cost if u are paying by installments..... be very careful if u buying from shop. i myself would buy from a private owner like my current SP. if u buy from shop..... becareful.... my fren got his SP and there are full of problem such as his brake pump spoil, gear 6 spoil ( will cost ard $300 to fix the gear alone ), tyres also lousy 1, fork leaking oil etc... IMO, the shop will just ensure tat ur bike can move when u take it can already den they heck care u lia0.... buying from SBF owners may be better as some owners take very gd care of their bike... just dun let the bike shop carrot u which all of them to some extent will..... gd luck !

the $150 is only for p plate riders whu just passed 2b.... both ntuc and mitsui charge the $150.... ur s4 is 2a bike... so wun have the $150.... 2b insurance only have this 2 companies to choose from sadly.... hence.... if u just pass 2b and want to get a bike..... the $150 applys for all types of bikes regardless whetehr is it a SP or wave or KTM....
