let me try to answer ur question.. since i used to be noob too.. lol..

how much is the fuel cos, depends on ur petrol consumption, let say the travel distance is 10km one way.. then u calculate accordinly lor..

my SP average 10 dollars (less than 8 liter) can petrol can use about 160km.. some SP bikes got better feul consumption can least 200km above..

maintenance wise, depends on ur bike condition lor.. if everything okay, u jus need change engine oil and spark plug regularly.. and full service when u hit 3000km or 5000km..

but of course SP bike is kind of old bike.. and it's a superbike.. if got problem, it easily cost 100 for parts and labour.. full overhaul can cost u up to 700 or more..

so all depends on urself, and of course ur pocket.. installment thing once sign, u need to pay finish.. else u might kena penalty if u wanna resell and etc.. and usually interest can be add up ur total bike cost to very high price..

im not a mac rider! nv will be. just ask around those mac riders on sp. they go thru all the trouble in the world just to maximise their petrol/distance ratio.

basket talking about me... LOL so obvious.

disenchanted: honestly being a mac rider is not THAT bad. every job has its pros and cons. but if u are planning to do this mac delivery for more than 3 months i will tell you to scrap the idea. unless u buy a scooter. the reason i say this is because SP drinks alot of petrol compared to other bikes plus it is a two-stroke bike so maintainence is already quite high without you clocking 500-600km per week on the job. after some time your bike will break down as doing delivery means riding in small lanes and having to gear up and gear down numerous times. this in turn causes higher petrol consumption and more wear and tear among other things. 1 good thing about doing delivery is that you will get alot more experience on the road than the average rider. this means your handling and knowledge on the road will probably increase and will help when u decide to upgrade i guess.

in simplier terms, if u wanna do mac delivery buy a scooter. also, do not start on the job immediately after passing your TP. get yourself accustomed to road conditions and your bike first or else it will be very very dangerous. alot of f-ed up drivers on the road....

oh i'd LOVE to try that. seems more fair for a sportbike against a sportbike yeah.

did i see 2303 at east coast park today? some bicycle shop?

yes i was there. carpark C3. working at the bicycle shop leh. lol! damn tiring.

guanjie: make sure you get the expensive tank bags instead of the cheapo motofizz one i'm using. mine doesn't have padding and i'm sure you won't want yur laptop to be spoilt by the bike vibrations. i don't recommend carrying laptops in tank bag. might as well carry it on your back. safer.

disenchanted: means i'm handsome ah? wah thanks thanks :D too bad no charbo like. knn.

yenyenpark: got. me lo. stay until xing hock close.. sleep in ah jie's room.. next day wake up and see my engine being fitted back together.. 3+pm till next day 10 or 11+pm.. lol.

the motofizz one held well for me leh. tried 180 and it's not flying off. but it's being pressed by my body cause i was trying to hide under the windshield. lol.

rjays ones shuold be more trustable. but slightly more expensive.

motofizz cheap cheap $25 dollar ones has lousy zips, lousy stitching, and a raincover which leaks water. causing stuff inside your tank bag to get wet. LOL..

hmm... rxz is not a bad choice too. i am enjoying my sp and the fact that i am planning to use it until i get my class 2 really makes it much easier to tahan. at least now i can get some kick until i upgrade to a 600cc.
