hi guys,

I would like to ask izzit true that most SP have the tak tak tak sound when idling?? izzit due to loose clutch housing??? should i rectify the problem? I was told from my mech that the problem is common in SP bikes and he says no point repairing it .. would like to hear some views?

thanks

Yes. Agree with your mechanic.

No point rectifying it as the problem will come back after a few months.. (ard 3mths).

When you have a knocking sound when idling in your SP, try to increase your idling RPM a little (around 1200 to 1300)... it seems that this 'knocking' problem occurs at low idling speed... this observation is based on my SP, but I don't know if it will work in other SP. Perhaps some of you guys can give it a try...

yes the clutch housing is loose.
