yea man, 17, but for now need to learn some things first. i dont even know how the feel of riding an sp.. but dunno how.. lol.. im now working and saving.. almost reach liao need buy laptop.. then start from 0 again. haha..

 

some more i dunno about those financial stuff about owning bike.. =[.

give u 2 months u should learn 3/4 of things abt sp liao.. from 0% knowledge abt the machine lol..pretty simple tbh..

 

by the time u wanna get sp probably all renewed coe or left 1 or 2 year shouldnt be too expensive bah.

Haha ya man.. Once you see the cost of owning a bike you will start to feel it.. Petrol, maintenance, unexpected repair.. Pengz.

Actually mostly is see how the owner takes care of his/her bike le.. If you regularly change faulty parts, go for maintenance, no matter how old the bike it will still perform well for you...

 

Of coz wear and tear for older bikes will be more as they start to surface even more.. The thing that wear and tear the most will be the engine and the electrical wiring of the bike.. Those are the parts which is the most expensive to replaced. But these days you will see all the SP all very well maintained cos a lot of the SP riders love their bike..

 

I regretted not buying SP as my first bike as i really love the speed and how it runs.. Really cool.

prepare at least 4k. tats the best.perpare for unexpected damage. in the future, ask anyone of us, maybe we can help u spot check the bike(transfer ownership), or buy from shop got warranty.

agreed oso... haha, sometimes damn tight,dont feel lyk going out. btw, my engine 6 years liao, haven even overhaul once, previous owner take care untill now the bike still good con. cuz the bike since OTR, have been stock all the way, even i oso wan to keep stock.

bro other tins i tink can save but eo cant la..ltr ur engine con rod will spoil de if u dun change eo 1 yr..serious leh..if tat happen u nd to overhaul ur engine leh..but tat is 2A above la..hehehe

wash carb when u go for service, piston ring change only when needed, unless u wan high performance. and lube chain.

ic. sorry i alot of questions.. noob.. in what kind of situations piston will jam or fail. or most common things that newbies don't know that will cause the bike to fail.

When i was still riding my sparkie, got 1 period of time in camp when i was on ops i got no time to change my EO. 4 1/2 months to be exact.. it's super bad, starting was bad, throttle reaction time was bad, fuel consumption was bad.. Better changed or in the long run your engine will have prob de.. I remember when i went to changed EO, my mech told me that he has nv seen such a dark coloured engine oil since he starting servicing bikes..

 

So better to do regular EO change like every 3k + for full syn, 1.5k semi syn, 1k for mineral. For SP best to use full syn. Really got diff if use lousy EO or 2T..

Budget use mobil 1 low smoke 2T ($7) or Castrol perfumed low smoke ($8) from LAB *Take not that they are mix of mineral and semi syn*. That's what i feel it's not bad for a budget 2T, but of coz some pple rather use full syn. I bought 2 bottles of mobil put at home juz in case that month i budget then use Esso Gold too ex.. But of coz, motul or esso i find is really power packed 2T oil.. But a bit on the high side man..

motul 510 still ok ma.. not really that ex.. those who got go in jb de.. can try pennzoil marine.. quite good
