Unique motors charge top servcing for 140.. hmmm think you can source for bikes from the garage sales section..think its abit cheaper from shops!

 

 

 

btw..can anybody tell me whats the purpose of drilling the airbox???

Spark plug need change per mth arh and carb thing also per mth?

 

wash carb ard 8 to 10 bucks and one spark plug nomal ones should be below 8 bucks ba.. full service can go jb do ba.. 90 rm wash till gilat gilat..

u will feel better throttle response and pickup but top end abit more slack..

better dun drill ah unscrew the 2 nearer to ur sai tao and pry open the cover , place a nut as a spacer and screw back.. better flow of air.. and also got the nice nice hollow hollow air box sound.

the above is wad i have experienced ahh .. dun flame me...

hey all.. i jus passed my 2b and i'm thinking of getting a sp.. but i wanna noe hows the fuel consumption and maintenance like?? like on avrg how much do u guys spend on maintenance a month?? hope u guys can help me out.. thanks!!

 

fc for some avg is 18-20..

some sp like xx's or mine can go 250-270-300 per full tank of 10litres..

of coz ours is not for racing, but is good enuff to play.

u need to consider ur fuel expenses..

 

engine oil change @ 4k-5k kms no problem =)

sparkplug some can go until 8k-10k km den change..

all depending on riding style...

carb washing is unless u do mods to ur bike n also air filter mod den the carb gets dirty easier..

if stock, maybe 4-5mths wash one time. (or set at 5-8k km)

brakepads also ard half a yr change ( have to gauge ur riding style n also check ur pads to see if need to change)

tires can last u 8-12mths of riding.

the rest shld be vehicle breakdown or problem arise den u need to change.

 

if u planning to ride a 2 stroke ... dun expect a good fc... sp this kinda bike average is 18 - 20 km per litre de ... but u nv noe wad ur previous owner did to ur bike and it might affect ur fc too.. maintainence wise 3 month on time servicing ... wash ur carb and change ur plug and eo every month... thats for me la

how much is ur budget, n we can try helping...

first thing, pls minus away ur insurance $$ n see how much u left with..

 

under 21 & p plate = third party 600+, 2nd party 800+ . comprehensive 1k+.. ( rough gauge)

 

over 21 cheaper by 100-200+ bucks

i tink drilling of airbox in sg only he doing..

but bcoz of his tuning, he have to drill the hole for the extra n easier air flow..

sounds more bassy also. =x

throttle response indeed got much better, my bike was faster in pickup solely in doing his tuning.

coz there alrdy a hole at the back of the box above.. the holes drilled on top is to suck the air directly from top instead of side...

depending on which mech is touching ur bike, n also tuning..

with/without air filter is a difference in air intake.

if ur mech tuned for higher air intake n u go put air filter.. the bike will create problems soon.

 

as i said above..

drilling + tuning comes together..

if u drill le no tune... the bike gets uneven intake.

u wudnt know when something is goin to fail (piston rings.. block sudden chip.. sudden piston seizure)

 

if its me.. i wudnt wanna have any risk getting stuck somewhere on the road with this kinda problems as it wud be further waste of time and money instead of trying to save money.

 

and spark plugs also dun need too good wan..

i use cheepo 8rm spark plugs(i tink.. or is it 6rm? lolz)

but i change a spark plug whenever i do servicing.

u wudnt wanna get stuck soemwhere on the road JUST BECOZ OF A FARKED spark plug yar ?

have to waste towing fees and time tat brings back to my above point of wasting time and money. :x
