normally unique ask ppl to service caliper one...

pump kit is only replace the rubber and spring etc inside the brake pump.

hence cheaper. no need replace the whole pump.

how come both of u said differnt price??

while lab said that there should be something wrong behind the footrest where the brake lever is.

 

so he told me he'll check whether he still got any spare one to change or not...

brake pump is it's faulty. normally can be repaired by a pump kit. cost about 28 dollars.

 

pump kit is the inside kit.. whole brake pump will cost $100

i went to Planet.. then Ah Chong told me, if pump kit, 28, else whole brake pump 100.. else dun repair use front brake 0 cost..

 

then i LL changed pump kit, then found out, whole brake pump spoilt liao.. all rusty..

BTW, i forgot, if u use- racing footrest.. the pump kit is not vertical enuff, the brake will not work as good as original. you look at those big bike, the pump kit will be like / position where it works best..

maybe becos u said u drop ur bike so air in the reservoir enter the brake hose. causing spongy feeling aka not as makan as b4 the fall.

 

cheapest option is to re-bleed the hose 1st and see how it goes.

Hmm ... That's what I think of myself, but there's another angle to it too ...
