what a crappy day!!

 

went eat supper with friends, park at roadside, some guy go reverse and ram into my bike. dent my footbrake+rest, my handbrake break into half, fairing come out abit, and dont want to pay me!! ask me go claim his insurance.. wtf!! make IDAC report liao, went to my workshop, they say dont want to do for me, another wtf!! (say very troublesome need to claim insurance and surveyor and stuffs, dont want to do)

 

now i feel very fedup, feel like go and overhaul my engine and change the entire footrest and stuffs and claim him for causing me so much trouble... what a jerk!! but not sure where to proceed for.. anyone can advise? like some friendly bikeshop or what so i can really have a direction to head towards to..

 

really sway encounter i tell people they also laugh at me dont believe my luck so good.. haiz!!

Try going to bigger bike shops like h k l or something for claims.

Will not advise u to claim damages not done by the car. The surveyors not idiots. Wait not approve kana counter back for over claim. Worse case the car might even claim his damages from u.

U might need to pay half the repairs fees upfront 1st even if u think u 100% sure win.

NO. u will risk over heating the engine.

The reserved tank aka ur bottle is suppose to be an overflow bottle.

When the coolant heats up it will expand and excess will flow to the reserved tank. Once cool down, due to a certain amt of pressure in the radiator it will cos suction and the coolant will be 'suck' back into the radiator.

Without the pressure or not enough amt of coolant into the radiator, there might not be a complete circulation of flow in the radiator loop therefore risk, eg. overheating, spoiling the coolant pump, steaming radiator or worse piston jam.

 

so i have to put a new bottle, empty or fill with coolant?

i just weld my radiator bought from diy shop seem like not 100% done, as liquid still leaking.

any advice for welding? i mix resin and hardener then just apply cover the crack part?

 

i read a thread about radiator. says,

step 1. fill the radiator to max then cap.

step 2. fill the bottle slightly above line.

step 3. riding the bike will cause the air to run out, something like that then the coolant in the bottle will reduce. so need top up again.

in other words coolant in the radiator need to fill max, and bottle need to be fill with coolant too?

put new bottle and fill it with coolant to the max. after riding if level drops just fill it again. when everything stabilised just make sure its in between min and max line.

U can try the resin and hardener combo. although i guess nobody ever try this method. if it leak again then need to flush coolant again. troublesome. since u already dismantle y not just bring to a bikeshop. they will sure noes where to get it repaired.

it happened to me before.. even worse... i kena in malaysia.. and the bugger wants me to pay for the damage on his car even though he is the one who reverse and hit my stationary bike... in the end we ended up quarrelling and he trying to get his *guys* down to whack me up... arsehole...
