Morning guys ! How would you all describe "Engine knocking" ?

As in.. Like how does it feels like?

 

my engine seems jerky everytime i reach 5krpm, and make louder noise than usual..

Any idea what is the reason behind it?

Does anyone knows how to open the rear seats if the key is lost? My friend who's scrapping his SP, wants to give me his seat coz mine is scratched by cats. But he lost his key to open his seat

It's normal.

4.5k~5.5k rpm will have this jerky feeling. It's the air intake setting.

But quite hard to remedy it. Just open throttle and go faster a bit can already.

Bear regina there is a key specialist the auntie can use 2 needle to feel the hole and make a key out.

if open throttle, the rpm still around 5k+ means valve jam?

Valve open @ 6k, you can tune your carb. It's normal..

Btw, just wanna ask, u all know the sp handlebar metal thingy how to clean and polish it? mine very orh orh use normal water clean cnnt work..

Bros..Need to ask a question. Why my SP cannot whack speed one? Esp with pillion (around 90kg), can only go like 100-110 km/h only..I throttle like little effect like that. Cant be, just service my power valve leh, previously valve cant open

I'm planning to change my tyres this weekend. Currently on Bridgestone BT-39 90/80 and 110/70.

 

Any tyres to recommend? Or should i stick to the same model?

 

For the same model, Unique currently has them for $240. Is it reasonable?

the "specs" you mean? use autosol lah.

I think it might be your carb tuning. I've had a similar experience. My rpm goes up to 6000 normally, then it climbs terribly slow after that. Had it re-tuned and it went back to normal.

6000 at gear 6? Does yours make a lot of noise too? How much did you pay for carb tuning service and where did you do it?
