Dunno why do high also. Stress the engine man. I tink valve need wash

I m nt sure of the sprockets specs n sizing. But mine is orig specs n size. Like I say b4 in my prev msg, I c a fellow SP rider chg his rear sprocket to smaller size. He told me ez 150-60, but rpm 9-10k ez ez. Ya true, stress yr engine. If yr rpm too high meaning yr engine vibrate a lot. Internally may have damage some parts in long run for sure. So b4 u do any servicing, u mus knw is yr sprockets orig size? If everything norm, mayb y engine nd overhaul liao. 120kmh shld nt go 9-10k rpm RED zone. On top of tat is yr EO enugh n wat specs? I using shell helix ultra. 5w40, oil thicker higher viscosity.

Mayb Bro Kindanii can further help to answer yr questn.

The knight...the above info is v helpful. Was always wondering what's the difference between 20W 10W and 5W. I hit red zone 11k rpm at speed 140. But I easily hit it...I guess I got a huge sprocket

I have not set up this 2T intake before since my bike is not smoky, lol. but from the diagram it shouldn't be hard just follow the spec.

Anyway, i have a full NSR 150 SP service manual book soft copy about 22mb size, very very detail manual that makes me confident enough to service my own front suspension. lol.

I have uploaded it via sendspace, download from links below before it expired.

Cheers!!

Hi bro, cant access the site. can u re-DL again? Or send to me via gmail acc?

normally EO specs is nWnn. n denotes number. example: shell helix ulra 5w40, mobil 10w50 etc.

The first number before w, states hw ez yr oil can lubricate/flow in cold temp. Number smaller, more ez. Hwever in tropical countries lik sinapore (hot weather), the 1st number nt so impt.

The 2 numbers after w, states the viscosity of yr oil (thickness). The higher the number, the more thicker. Norm bikes uses 30 if I nt wrong. ie Castrol 30. The 'thinner" oil makes the engine runs with less resistant, so faster. Hwever some ppl say, thicker the oil better cos it is more diff to break down. Watever it is, still up to individual. I use it cos more well-known in market n specs is 40. Somehw my engine sound is more quieter. can feel the diff when I heard other SP bikes on the road running or idle.

If yr sprockets size is all orig specs, chk yr EO if enugh. Norm full EO tank is abt 750ml. Did yr temp gauge go RED too or on high side when rpm s 10-11k? 10-11k rpm yr bike mus b v loud. think fr far can hear, TP shld b also.

No leh everything is ok. I accelerate also ok. I dk why. Is it my valve, cdi or something restricted, Idk man. But if its fully stock hence restricted I dun mind

To me, It is nt norm s rpm shld nt go RED. 140kmh also nt so fast ma. Hmmm, wait for other bros to reply lo. Hw is yr FC? Is it high too? Wats yr total mileage? Has it done an O/H b4?

Too much factors to consider, for me you better check your brake first. esp rear brake, ask a friend to lift up your bike a bit and test the rear wheel whether they can run freely or not. check also front. from there you can move on to check and calibrate the RC valve..

Tats a gd way to start troubleshooting 1st. Agree wif bro kindanii. U may ND a car jack to lift up a bike to test the wheels. It's much easier.

Bro kindanii. Can reDL the NSR150SP svc manual? The link u mentioned b4 is no longer valid.

Hi guys. My Batt flat. Due to seldom use: 3-7days then use. So tis CNY abt 7 days nev use. Is there anyway can prev flat other than disconnect Batt at the Batt terminal side? V troublesome take out side fairing, unscrew 1 terminal, put back fairing.

Currently batt v low power. When switch ON, the neutral light nt lighted. Nt to mention no headlight. But still can kick start n ride. Then everything ok.

charge full during servicing, ask your mech to charge the batt full.

for me I have my own charger at home, exactly as small as laptop charger (cannot be used as jumper, purely charger). i bought in Jakarta only for 50$. Got 1 spare if anyone interested

If bike can start n run, won't the rectifier b charging the Batt? Of course if Batt still chargeable. If Batt condemn, I think charger also can't revive it rite?

Depends on how long u run everty trip, rectifier charging capacity (runs above 5k rpm) will not catch up with the battery efficiency if the battery is lower than certain stage example 30%. But battery oso have a life span bro, maybe 2 years under good maintenance. Luckly our bike uses kick starter to start, otherwise the lifespan will be lesser even more.

From the SP manual, seems tat ND to take out the RC vlv and clean the carbons on it. My RC vlv has NT been svc for years! The removal n installing is quite tedious. I would say if NT a trained mechanic on SP bikes, he may NT b able to realign the parts correctly. Mayb Bro Kindanni can help. He has been sugg some SP bros Mt up n share some bike exp. At the same time do some hands-on. I wonder if he is ok.
