just gave my baby a good wash today and lub it up with some maxima chainwax.. cant wait to start riding tml hehe.. hope tonight don rain sia. if not whoa 3hrs of hard work gone down the drain.. hehe

.......................................................................................................................

regarding the fuel thingy, i realised sometimes its because of our way of riding. i hit highways with a speed of 110km/hr and change my gear at constant 5000rpm, my fuel is not as good compared to when i change my gear at constat 6000rpm but when i ride highway at 80+km/hr..

so i think, if we ride slower, we not only save petrol but also become a more careful rider.. so everyone pls ride safely :)

Change at a constant RPM, maintain a cruising speed just before valve is turn on, if u ride more on the xpressway, u will definitely notice better fuel comsumption than riding in small road..

Actually yes, but not all of the 2T heads into the combustion chamber...Most is leak into the gearbox and thus resulting in more liquid being drain out when u go for a oil change. And it does smells nicer than usual.. Happens to my pgm last time..

Guys,

Need some more advice here. My SP had some heat problems recently. The temp gauge kept going all the way to red so I sent to the shop. They said they replaced a "coil" (dunno wat kinda coil leh - my knowledge of bikes not so good).

But after that it was even worse. The needle was like almost off the gauge and when I stopped my bike, there was something like a bit of steam coming from the radiator. So I sent it back to the shop again and they said the radiator was leaking. They said they changed the radiator and its ok already. Now the problem is that the heat is like too low!

This morning when I warmed up the bike, the temperature gauge was all the way at "cold", even after I warmed it up for about 5 min. Even after I rode the bike for half an hour on the highway, the temperature gauge was somewhere at the lowest 25%. Is something wrong? The temperature gauge is usually at 50% right? The bike rides fine now other than this problem. Wondering if I should be concerned.

And are there any moto diams in the east that can recommend for SPs? This one that I am using a bit jiat lat man. And its supposed to be quite an established one somemore!

Sorry for being longwinded but wanted to get everything down.

Thanks in advance!!

For normal days under normal riding conditions be it eway or small roads, as long not jam until yr legs r down almost all the time, den the gauge will remain at

:btw: The coil cun be a magnetic coil, but wonder wats it got to do wif a overheated bike...anyone care to explain?

Thanks guys. The thing is the temp gauge will be like very close to zero even after I warm up the bike for 5 min. Only until I ride it for maybe 15 min then it goes up to about 15% like that. And then after I ride it for about half an hour then it goes to about 25%.

Last time after I warm up for about 5 min the temp gauge is at like 50%. So that means that last time it had problems but now its fine is it?

Sorry for all the questions. But I'm quite worried with this bike diam lor. Quite bad experience with them already.

Thanks!

Ain't temp low is a good thing? As long it's not at 0%, this shows the radiator and coolant the whole setup is working properly.

Yup, after 5mins 50% it's definitely not working properly...If at this motordiam is not giving u a peace of mind, CHANGE!

I would like to ask u something if you dont mind...

Did that somebody who told you about this powercut thing in sp told you how is the powercut actually?

Eg; Restricting ur speedo?Cannot Redline?RPM drop after hitting a certain point?

For all i know and what most of the riders here know is that it's a unproven myth...

OMG !! Stock condition SP(FT plate(My old SP) can hit 180km/hr anytime...SP(FQ plate(My friend's SP) with open stomach can hit 190km/hr anytime..

Do note that FQ batch is the so-call no powercut batch..And a lousy maintain/condition SP wont hit that much..

Do ask him for more details like this top speed and what speed he needs before he's satisfied with the fact that his bike doesnt have powercut.

But IF

180km/hr doesnt satisfy him, ask him to ride a hayabusa then..
