Hope this helps:-

 

You go to http://www.nokia.com.sg and look for software upgrade under Support and there is a step by step guide on how to. Anyway, you gotta download and install the Software Update Program first into your PC. Then run it while connecting you phone to the PC using the USB cable provided and the program guides you step by step. Should be pretty easy.

You can always backup your data into your Memory card. Once finish with the updating, can restore back.

btw ur one is music or normal edition, and if music edition they give how many GB memory card?

Music edition is simply black in colour, has a dedicated music function and supplied with a 2GB memory card.

 

I have come across a website that teaches users of the normal N73 how to hack the phone and change it into a N73 Music edition phone.

but the change is irreversible and will void the warranty.

 

So. basically, there is no hardware difference between the 2 phones. Just a software difference.

 

Using my N73 for sometime now, doesn't really lag that much. much better and faster then my old N70.

 

And currently, it is said to be the best N-series phone so far.

1) i know while updateing my software through the use of nokia pc suite, need to insert sim card while doing this, so my quesiton is how to import my contact list to pc first cos i knoe all wii be format away,need to back up first.

 

 

2) if i choose to back up using memory card through phone. i will go to tool then memory then back up. is it all the every different folder eg music folder and picture folder and contact list will be back up to the card and when i finish updating software and i try to restore back all my memory into the phone , will it nice nice all go back to the same folder plus all my contact list will it go into the phone as well ?

 

 

3) after i finish updating my software ,i found out that only my contact list from the sim card is not removed but all the pic and song removed and back to original normal factory setting, is it the same as all brother out there using N73?

oh i bought my phone at city plaza de.. not bad lah.. i am using music eddition.. 2GB of memories.. till now i onli been used for bout 2-3weeks bah.. n i hav drop bout 4-5 times le.. hahaha n haven been service befor lor.. so far so good... of coz must noe how to protect.. but for new phones once u drop it may hang abit lah... but after awhile ok le.. so far the phone i brouht at city plaza dun give mi problems... n the phone is cheaper compare to outside.. thats wad i think..
