Hi guys!

Cool forum for WR2 riders! hehe..

Anyway i've been riding my baby for a few months only.. And i need some help!

 

Sometimes i encounter some probs with my power.. My bike's power is super good when i just top up fuel to full tank. But after 2 rides, the power is not there anymore.

Sometimes i encounter noisy & unsmooth sound when i start my engine, could this be a problem from my valve? Or something else?

 

Btw from the experts out there like Naz, slapshock etc... Is there any tips from you guys for WR200 Maintainence Schedule? Eg. estimation of how many mths is it advisable to chng the rings or oil the fork etc....

 

I would love to know more about the physical parts(spare parts) of this Bike too!!

 

I guess, i need alot of guidance here man!! hahha...

I don't know much about WR200s bro, my apologies as my current ride is a GL145 scrambler.

 

But anyways, have u cleaned your carburettors? Try to go to any dirtbike shop and cleanse it, service your powervalve, then decide if there are other things u can follow up from thereon.

 

You might also need to decarbonise ur pipes.

 

You experience bogging?

 

Do you feel a sudden power surge when u drag ur 2nd or 3rd gears? If you don't chances are your valve is not opening or its stuck.

 

The noisy and unsmooth happens sometimes when u start on a cold morning. Thats normal as I have it too. Just rev it a couple of times and you're good to go.

 

Fork, normally unless it leaks, I can't be bothered with it or really, when u feel some kinda imbalance in it while cornering. And I never or cant recall anyone oiling their forks. Is this a known practice?

 

Maintenance schedule are the norms. Change ur oil monthly, clean ur powervalve and carb quarterly or bi-annually blablabla..

 

I'm a newbie too and can't help much. It's a sunday and I'm blabbering nonsense when I should be kite-flying with my primary school friends in West Coast. :weep:

haha..! You know what.. I havent got the chance to chng my oil for MONTHS!!

Sheeshh do you think i'll face any problem?? hruhur.. hope it wont be soo bad.

ermmm.... new white plastics, purple frame... new piston, sprocket, chain... for 2.8k... :smile: .. i think its worth it lar... now currently thinking of a design...

only one headlight is legal. anything with 2, 3, 4, 5 headlights is illegal..

 

tong pipe but not PC is subjectively ok.. as long as its not 'obviously' loud...

Hi, new WR2 rider here, have been facing some problems recently, wish some of you guys can help a newbie like me..

 

My wr2, keeps dying when its in idle or when i kick down or the way to first gear, may i know whats the problem? On the move it,s okay, no Power dips or anything, anyway i am on a PC full system...

 

 

Just wanted to know is it my a/f mixture screw thats need to be adjusted, my electrical or my jettings? Thanks.. in advance...

Greeting earthling, I also got my wr2 1 month ago, staying in the east also...my question.... itzzit true that different type of 2T will affect the performance. Example Esso 2T @$18 and SPC @$6.itzzit ok 2 mix both of them 2gether??Thanks:giddy:

mixing them is ok altho not recommended by the experts.

I do that so far sometimes when I am itchy handed wanna try this 2T or that 2T.. but do buy better quality ones if u can afford.. else u got lotsa unburnt 2T problem .. i had my powervalve badly jammed up with carbon when i used cheapo 2T before when I service them at Pang Scooters.

 

Bike cant idle.. try to increase ur idling like Bunny said..

Else, it could be jetting problems.. Did u use a stock exhaust system before? From what I knew, when u changed ur exhaust type, u have to rejet..

 

how bout ur clutch free play.. try to broaden them up a bit...

 

else it could be others like ur reeds, plates or rectifier?..

 

Sorry cant help much cos am a newbie too.. but u can PM LCBear if u need advises. He's good in Wr200..

I did not get my bike from them. A lil too pricey but their bike is definitely good stuff.

pang scooters mechanic told me they sell their bikes more expensive than others because they ensure the bike is in immaculate conditions before they sell it and they have the test test period of dunno how long, of which any problems occur they can troubleshoot for you.

last i remember they are selling WRs for bout 3k plus for machine. isn't that almost 1 plus k more ex than buying from private?
