Initially looking forward to it, thought it might be a suitable bike for gf or something lol..until i realise the wet weight of the bike is just 5kg away from the CbR1000RR.. which put it quite a bit above the cbr600.

 

Power wise its got less than 50bhp.. =( Hope its not too heavy for a lady to manage it easily.

Shared some similarities with its brother cbr250 and 150. Seems that parallel twin has gain popularity. Looks like a comfortable ride.

Anyone interested in this bike? Anyway great news. Honda has annouced the new CBR400R, CB400F and CB400X, identical to the CB500s but a smaller engine to suit the japan licence (or tax) thingy. http://motoroids.com/news/the-honda-cbr400r-cb400f-and-the-cb400x-revealed/ Damn hoping the 400s will reach our shores. It will be a good contender to the Kawasaki. Seriously hoping Boon Siew will do something about it, currently the only 2A catergory bike they can compete in is the S4, but kawa seems to be catching up. Saw a brand new Ninja 300 recently.

I hope they bring in this model. I think its actually great as an everyday bike (referring to the CB500F version), but due to licensing, I guess the bigger capacity bikes will be more popular with the younger hot blooded riders. Still, mature older riders may just realise that this is all they need. Though I'm not holding my breath waiting for Boon Siew to bring it in.
