IU Cover Replacement

Hi all,

 

would like to ask any idea where to replace the IU cover? someone breaks mine and leave it on the seat. -_-

 

I have been searching online but no info on that. Had also tried calling VICOM but they mentioned that they do not sell separate accessories.

 

Please help!

u mean the transparent cove or the whole thing? new or old IU?

I guess they are referring to the transparent cover which can flip up and down.

yup yup, the transparent casing..

 

have called LTA. they mentioned that Vicom have the replacement. however, i called to all Vicom centres they doesn't sell seperately..

 

i guess just leave it in the rain and come out Error SC and sent it for replacement of the whole IU.. -_-

Rem the warranty for IU is 5 years.

Yes its true. Without the iu cover they won't honour the warranty.

Hi fellow riders,

 

I came across the same issue months ago, and the discussion is as listed:

Long story short, I changed the cover at VICOM Sin Min for $5. But even then (Feb 2012), they mentioned the spare covers are limited.

Went Viacom Bt Batok last week and they directed me to Sin Ming. Went Sin Ming this morning and the guy said they don't have it. The guy's solution was to replace the entire unit. Warranty doesn't cover this part.

 

That part is not durable at all but warranty doesn't cover it. How "exciting". Rather have the older IU which I had with my old bike.

Leather cover can last for heavy rain? Is it waterproof as original plastic cover?

Mine got cracked and now use traditional method, plastic

I will go to sim ming to check this weekend.

The leather cover cannot protect from rain. will become worse coz you dont have the plastic cover. water will seep in ..
