Friends,

would like to check whether anyone has contacts for mobile bike services. my bike failed to start after 3 weeks of inactivity. most likely the battery was drained.

or are there any kind souls with jump start cables willing to provide some help pls?

Get a new battery. If batter flats out really fast again, get a new rectifier and coil.

bro, your post states why I need a mobile bike service personnel, or at least someone who can help jump start my bike so that I can go to the bike shop to do what you mentioned.

Bro... U dont need a mobile bike service personnel... If you spot any taxi drivers, or any car owners for that matter, ask if they have jumping cables and if they do, if they are willing to help. More often than not, other motorists will help.

Previously my bike also died on me cos I forgot to switch off my foglamps which was tapped directly to my battery. My wife came with the car and jump start the bike. 2 mins job (unless your battery is really difficult to access).

Where you stay? See if anyone nearby can help you. I am in office now and car with my wife... If around Woodlands and you can wait till tonight maybe I can go down after I get home.

Or push start? Hahaha!! I did that couple times when I was riding my older bikes back then... Shift to 2nd gear, clutch in, push and release clutch. Usually works....

i tried to push start it. but perhaps i wasn't trying hard enough. later will try again when i get home. it's a fz1 btw

If u never done it before... I reckon u'll need a couple tries. Shift to 2nd gear with engine switched to acc ON. Clutch in and PUSH.... When u come to almost a run... Let go off the clutch... Turn the throttle up and all this while continue pushing. The engine will emit some sound as though its starting (not cranking sound). U'll feel it once the engine is started and quickly clutch in and brake.

And of course it will never work if u are duck peddling the bike. Hahahaha.

i just tried to push start it. didnt work though... i'm pretty sure that i tried hard enough. just that there isnt enough inertia to keep the engine moving. it started, choked a few times and died again.

but well.. at least i tried hard enough.

My battery was also flat previously due to inactivity. What I did was, I removed my battery and buy a cheap charger to charge it. Removing of battery is really simple. If you stay near Bukit Merah, I will be able to assist to charge your battery.

Hi...thot i cld tag along on this thread instead of spamming another new one.

Just replaced new batt for my spec 1 on 8th dec. Previous replacment was 15mths ago. Then this morning bike cant even start. Last rode the bike last friday. Cant be 4 days of inactivity can drain bike's batt right?

Only hv volt meter and pivot voltage stabiliser tapped to the batt n i doubt these are batt suckers right?

Possible that the shop did a lousy installation or gave me crap battery? Wonder whats my chance of getting free replacemnet if any...? Or cld it be somethg else that needs to be replaced? :giddy:

It might not be the battery problem. It could be it rectifier or magnetic coil which is not recharging the battery and that's why the battery slowly lost the juice.

Possible to tell via the stabiliser meter? Coz after i turn key it says low...no amph appeared.

If really rectifier n coil faulty, which bike shop can fix at reasonable price? I read a forummer changed both recently n it costs him $480??
