Just buy a $25 battery charger from kelantan lane, value for money.

Or get a multi-meter to check if the altenator is charging your battery?

try not to jump start with a car because car batt has higher current.

just push start.

Put key to on, go down a hill/slope or run then on gear 2, let go the clutch hard and not half clutch...etc

Can I Jump start motorcycle w/ car?

You can, but you have to make sure the car is not running or you'll run the risk of blowing out the motorcycle battery. Also, the charging mechanisms on a motorcycle are not as efficient as that on a car, so even though you jump start it, you'll still probably need to trickle charge the battery overnight to get it back up to full. Jump starting a bike is only really useful in a jam and you don't know how to bump start the bike. A better long term solution would be to pick up a battery tender for about $25. Motorcycle batteries are also a lot shorter life than a car battery might have. If it's been drained too much, it may never be able to hold a charge again. If it's been 2-3 years, it may be time to replace anyway.

push start...

as the name implies...set to gear 3or 4...

procedure...engage gear,,

press clutch

push..best with help while sitting on bike....if not run push start.

at a running speed..release clutch to engage gear

bike will jump tolife...press clutch to prevent engine dying..increase throttle..

thats it..becareful when you release clutch to start engine...bike may run off without you.

then go to shop..do what u need to do.

i love my ezzyoiler

What ezzyoiler said. Your best bet is to push start the bike and ride directly to a bike shop to change the battery (and check the rectifier etc.). 600cc inline-4 engines are not hard to push start. I could easily push start my FZ6S in 3rd gear so you should have no problem with your R6. Good luck!

New to riding and my bike batt was drained like yours. You can go youtube find how to push start a bike.

Anyway, the steps quite simple. Switch on bike like normal and change to gear 2, if your bike reluctant to engage 2nd gear while stationary, try to inch forward or backwards abit and try again. Once engaged, make sure to do it on a slope ground while you are on your bike, just free wheel down slope. Once it picks up momentum, release clutch fully and give some gas, make sure to pull back clutch immediately once engine start to gain control and prevent stalling. Also make sure there is enough space and avoid doing near cars.

If there is no slope nearby, you can still do it. This is what i did. Do same steps except you are not on your bike, you are at the side pushing the bike. Once start, quickly pull clutch and gradually pull front brake. This one quite dangerous because your bike might go faster than you once you release clutch and engine start.

alternatively jump start by another bike will do the job . but get a same class 2 bike. not 2b jump start a class 2 ... different current supply
