Wow Ray seriouly yr fren overhaul cost him $2900, mine was $500 after discount of $40 at Planet...

BUYING a used bike must b very careful...outlook of it looks nice but engine is scary...

Yup...i used to have wkend car but decided to let it go due under utilised... same parking, Insurance n etc lah...

In JB also have parts for Sym... heard it is cheaper there....U can check it at Sym Malaysia

If Fbf selling at $5k+++, how much should FBD plate (2009) be fetching from direct owner. Need some view.

Mine is FBD..my bike hopefully out by this week, i bought it ard $4500..but comes warrenty 3mths..free box..helmets &etc...

i think $4k should be nice or lower...remember that..if buying from owner, warrenty not included..

I got mine at M1 Motoring, they have a branch opposite Mah. Bought from them because they quoted a higher trade-in value for my previous bike than the other shops.

Bought from a private seller, paid $4200.

The bike has literally a few screws missing, otherwise seems in fairly good condition...Anyway, only rode it 40km so far. Will send it in for major service next week, for peace of mind.

Does anyone know if it uses full synthetic or mineral engine oil?

Yup.

Very clean bike and super low mileage. Even the plastics are all clear!

 

You got it from a guy at Yishun, plate 9009? If it is, I was eyeing on that too.

It was originally from AS Phoon, should I just go back there for servicing?

any bikeshop can do service....once my bike ready, i will organise a trip yo ride to Desaru...

Could b the trip will be early next mth on a Saturday aftnoon riding...

so if u guys ok with it...

Malaysia can do servicing but must find a correct mechanic

Thanks for the reply.

Good to know servicing (belt & oil change) can be done "anywhere". Makes life easy...

I don't think I'll join up for ride and servicing in Malaysia-rather stay in Sg for the time being, I'm a newbie after all.

I'm game for a local ride and meet up though!
