Firstly. .welcome to club..

I also bought used gts but bike can go easily 120 n 130km/h..but near to the redline if u goin at 130km..

best is to check for servicing...n congrats for a new ride....

Rsv4 is awesome! It's a pocket rocket. Smth similar to the pgm4.

 

Resolved the issue. The issue was a wrong tyre size fitted onto the rear. Now it feels better. I'm running 100kmph at 8k. Which is the start of the red zone. Isit safe to maintain throttle at say 9k rpm in the red zone? Or I gotta stay below 8k rpm?

 

And the fuel guage is abit confusing!!

Does the bike hit reserve when it's at the lowest bar? Or will that bar blink? And how much is the reserve tank?

 

Mine drop from secondlast bar to last bar in less than 3km distance. -.-

 

So I'm guessing the guage is not accurate?

Agreed! Scooters on track does sound a little bit odd....but then again, trucks race too.

Best is not go beyond the redline... same goes on race bike..unless u wanna pop the engine...

Yup..im bit confusing on the fuel gauge bar...i guess the last bar is reserve...

So far i tried, the bike can ride more 270km or could go more till 300km then tank empty..

As for pg, i b goin on pgm lah.

As i nearly trade my fz1s for Aprc rsv4 but after read some technical issue i decided to hold till next year for new Honda V5 or new yamaha r1...see how it goes...

Hi bro. I still on run in. Just reach 600km. I went to service on 300km. Change engine oil and gear oil

Petrol is like quite heavy thou. I think they set the my rpm quite high. Nearly to 2000. I think Monday I going to Mah motor to let them set the idieling.

Have some question to ask.

 

1. Stated that the bike unladen weight is 151 kg and maximum laden weight is 319 kg. What does that means? Does it means that the rider, passenger and load weight should not exceed 319 kg.

 

2. How much pressure to pump for the tyres? For car I know its 220.

What does that mean? The 'laden weight' is the weight of a vehicle carrying some or a full payload.

Does it means that the rider, passenger and load weight should not exceed 319 kg. Yes.

From page 31 pf the SYM GTS generic manual, it reads -

Front: STD 1.5kg / cm2 (22psi/147kPa), Rear: STD 2.25 kg / cm2 (21psi/220kPa) for 1 person,2.5 kg / cm2 (36psi/245kPa) for 2 person.

Hi all I just went down to Mah motor to check the rpm. The machenic say I normal in 1800 -2000r cause is a high ram bike. So didn't to the adjustment. But aft tt saw one old bird who ride a gts previously advise me to do setting at other shop cause the machenic feel is troublesome cause need to unscrew it from the bottom seat. And he say can ride up to 350km full tank wf 1200ram. Ya. I'm confuse now. Need to set or remain 1800r:dot:

I think its normal the rpm at 2k..

bike will move when u hit 4k above..

as for how far can it go regarding the fuel is i dont know either..

but i always top up when it hit 230km..just to play safe n this bike is better fuel comsuption then fz1s..

Ya. Heard from the old bird for air pressure wise is 220-240rear and 200-220front. Need to depends on u

Pillion or not. If pillion than lesser pressure. Ya. Is it true I also not so sure.

Oh ya. I bought fuse from them just now. There is total of 5 fuse. 3 of them is 15w and 2 is 20w. I bought 2 of 20w n 2 of 15w. For standby use. Just for extra info to share. Ya... Total is $4.25 include gst.

Cool.. mine is to set the rear shock or need to change to a better one as today morning my wife nearly fall off when hit hump(as the road is bumpy)...was riding 120km/h... not sure the design of seat or rear shock is soft.
