Guys need help!! Do anyone here have their bike overhaul b4?? Mine con rod making stupid noises and went to check then mechanic told me need to overhaul.. U guys know the cheapest overhaul ard??

Guys, just wondering.. Do you all pump petrol when the fuel indicator go to 1 bar? Or only pump when it goes down to zero bar? There will be a light indicator when reserved fuel is being used ya?

 

Thanks... Cos at the moment left 1 bar.. But only 220km+ mileage.

There's no hard rules to this. Pump as and when you feel convenient and safe. You wouldn't feel assured if you have refuel light out and you're on the expressway right?

 

Read somewhere in this thread, 1 bar left can travel another 30-40km, so that should be some form of assurance you still have enough petrol to go around.

 

I usually pump once a week when it's either 1 bar, or refuel light comes out...

Well there isn't one for me to recommend.

As my headlight plastic have cracked due to dryness, useless for me to use one.

 

Nevertheless jus wish to highlight this possible issue

Any shop can do if u are looking for motul, try looking at it s website for shops ard u

ya i trying to keep it at 100kmh if there is no vibrate i could have go faster, i'm jus worry izzit coz i never change oil tat cause the vibration oz suppose to change at 300km milage by the book or some parts is loose, bad experience with my old bike tats why.

 

may i know the next service izzit aft 2k milage?? and what to change and check?

If you are looking for better pick up, I received positive feedback about Dr pulley aftermarket parts. He said can go higher speed and less vibration . Ps: He was riding a maxi400

 

Thinking of changing to Dr pulley Clutch,cvt and rollers. Donno how much they going to cost

 

For servicing, refer to page 12 post #583. every 2 k/ month , normal EO change will do ; ) nothing much actually.

Ya la.. its only 5 years old and have been overhaul 2 times.. the mech told me my con rod shaky and need to change the the whole shaft.. qouted me 800.. do u think worthy? ?

Anw i cann't wait till tml coz today i reached 1k plus wanna to change the oil badly, so i decided to do it myself.

Below is what i use to change hope it help for some of you:

 

1. Square Tuberware that is more then 1l

2. A4 size paper fold and roll and tape it

3. 1 empty 1.5l bottle fill half with water to wash hand and fill up the left over oil.

4. 17mm wretch from Daiso

5. Small container measured 200ml

6. Used cloth

7. Engine de-grease clearer (Optional)

 

Total Cost: Maxima extra4 10w40 $23.70, 17mm wretch $2, the rest you can find it in your house.

 

Tips: Main-stand the bike let the oil flow for 5min then side-stand, always adjust the tupperware to catch the oil properly, know which side to turn for the nut.

 

 

i look forward to buy the white light bulb and fix myself. May i know where can i get it??

Overhaul shld cost about 400-500. Depending on parts changed. I changed the whole coolant casing too cos it rusted and the joints were cracking. That's why cost me 700bucks.

And I recently changed my starter Motor. It was faulty and can't e-start. Apparently the starter carbon can't be replaced. Gotta change the whole motor.
