Truth - It doesn't really matter. Just don't go crazy. Ride safely in Singapore and there's no way you can kill an engine riding normally here (less going past the redline in gear 1 of course) unless there was a manufacturing issue in the first place.

Scientifically proven that it really does not matter that much. 

Personally on my new revo i changed out the oil at 1000km and then use synthetic. replaced it every 10k. no issues at all. but i don't ride at 7krpm daily like some of my friends do so ... usually my vtec doesn't even engage haha... i'm quite a mild rider. only when required to get out of situations would i rev it higher.
